I kind of like that Whammy, the arms just look a little weird with no elbows, it would have good vertical range, don't see how it could twist the arms horizontally...
(FD's whammy!)

arms also look weird because they are uber thin blades when the rest of the design looks like the pillsbury doughboy. No symmetry. And the feet should be much more robust, IMO.

I think the simple expedient of relocating the SRM rack would be one of the hugest ways to "break the silhouette" and thus the "unmistakable similarity" while also improving in game hit boxes and well, believability factor. (That precariously perched launcher worked in Macross for a 1 shot missile pack, but for reloads? Not so much) While I would like to see "finished" versions by a better artist like Alex, I think this
[amazing Warhammer]
or this
[amazing Warhammer]
with a few tweaks to the lower arms and feet, would do the job. Of course, not having the separate rack causes much angst amongst the "Unseen or not at all" crowd, but since they never going to get their wish, no reason the rest of us cannot.

Good idea with the torso SRMs, but I think they are still too similar to the Unseen. PGI should play even safer.

PS: both are better than the original, IMHO. You did a nice job with the finishing of the first one's art!

And Bishop, please don't forget the Overkill... :D

Already? It would be great, but isn't the Banshee, er "Next Assault Mech", planned for March?
(the concept art tough, they could show us asap)

Sure, let's have the bloody Banshee. And Hopefully we can get it based off the Alpha Strike cover just so that the Hero version can be called "Neckbeard".

Since you all want the Black Knight, I know how the hero mech will be.

It will have hardpoints in every location (including legs) and, like the Heavy Metal, it will have speakers to say things like that in key moments:
- None shall pass. (defending a position)
- I'm invincible. (when receiving damage)
- Then you shall die. (locking target)
- I move for no man. (suffering collision)
- 'Tis but a scratch! (losing an arm)
- I've had worse. (losing a torso)
- It's just a flesh wound. (losing both arms)
- All right, we'll call it a draw. (losing both legs)

sadly the finished product lost all the banshee lankiness, and turned into the love child of a Biker and Jabba the Hutt.

well, if that's the new Banshee, it makes the Atlas look wimpy, isn't the Banshee bigger than an Atlas anyway?

Taller, but not as bulky.

They are not showing the concept arts anymore.

Look for the bright side kid, you got to keep all the money your MCs. (for a short time)

I mean, we will get the new Assault hero in one of these days: 4th, 11, 18 or 25 March. Considering the Wolverine is planned to arrive on 18 March, if they are doing like the Griffin/Firestarter, the new hero should be available this 4th March.

Banshee biker hero mech? Hey, I'm totally buying this!

And just because you love it so much, Bishop:

Their community relations in some parts are on an all time low.
Would be so easy and fun for the community if they would take the concept art and release it in pieces. One leg today, next leg tommorow and so on.
Russ Bullock does some good work on Twitter and they try to get more active on the weekend event part again.
But, other than that they stay rather low.
Take CW as another example. Since the first command chair post of the CW series its grave silent.

Partially true. In the last NGNG Bryan said they've been dropping the ball on getting the concept art out and would work toward fixing that.

Less words more action?
(If they are working to fix that, where are the concept arts for the Phoenix and Clan mechs?)

It's not hard, really. They do have these concept arts. They don't need to write texts, they don't need even to publish these pictures in the site, they just need to host them anywhere and give us the link.

These images are with very low resolution (some aren't even complete). No, I'm talking about the full images done by Alex Iglesias, like this.
