:)

Do those fins do anything on the Zeus but look cool? Like add weight or take up crit slots?

I refer to the Hammerhands, actually. Obsolete, essentially extinct mech not resurrected til the Jihad.

Mind you, I rather like the mech, so would not cry if it was in game, just pointing out it is probably even less likely than the Urbie to ever make it.

Aha, misunderstanding then.

But then again, a part of me refuses to believe they will not give us the Urbie. I mean, it's not a threat to game balance. It's the greatest mech ever made. What could they lose by making it ?

It's even quite small and doesn't have a lot of fancy shapes so it shouldn't be that hard to model.

it would require them to fix their broken and stupid engine rules though, which currently can't go below 100, due to their HS and Gyro and Cockpit implementation, apparently.

Of course, why these things don't get added in a better manner, is a mystery to all.....

There's no reason not to release the Urbie.
Literally none.

The mech has enough variants, is common in the Inner Sphere within this time period and is popular.

The call for it is huge, the work required minimal and the profit margins would be significant.

Throw in they already have 2 models for it as is, and why we don't have it is confusing.

Hell, if they did it as release-an-urbie pack with a 30% bonus 'prime' and 2 variants for $20 (like with the Phoenix pack for the Locust.)
Throw in 3 mech bays, a couple of extras, like some Premium time, a cockpit urbie and/or something.

You could even do a Golden Urbie pack, similar to the Gold Clan pack - using a similar pricing scale that'd be $50.
Urbie Pack + extra mech bay, extra premium maybe? and an extra Gold Urbie cockpit item.

Hell, I'd quite possibly buy that myself.

Honestly... there's no reason they can't now either.

With the fixed-engine and component rules of Clan Mechs, this should be an easy fix.

Fixed Size 60 Engine, with 3 Internal Heatsinks and say, 1-3 slots for 'extra' Heat Sinks in the Torso (that don't count as full doubles).
Even without the internal slots it'd be fine.

You wouldn't even need to use the engine calcs, just have a fixed max speed (then Speed Tweak will add the percentage on top).

and one more reason why I am slowly becoming against the Urbie being released even if they fixed the mech lab to allow it....
because I am pretty sure it would not look like this

and this wont be the Hero

and while i may be a little biased about that, it would make me a sad panda indeed

If they made them part of the arms they would make nice shields but the arms would go way too quickly so everything would have to be torso based.

If I were PGI, I would release the "Hammerhands" in name, just to avoid any issue with the Warhammer in legality. Then just give it the Warhammer variants as far as hardpoints, if needed.

But muh canon!
Seriously though, i would not mind. since the Warhammer has got the Hardpoints i'm looking for in a Heavy mech.
And also Hammerhands is a seriously awesome name too.

Since the HH does lack sufficient variants, a non-canon energy boat variant might be in order...

But alas, it wasn't meant to be. PGI has no issue with non-canon heroes, but non-canon regular variants are apparently going too far. ;)

We will have our enhanced Warhammers soon (Hellbringer) - and it comes with ECM. O.o

But next IS mech is one of these: Mongoose, UrbanMech, Lancelot, Grasshopper or an assault of a long list (Zeus, Mauler, King Crab, Charger, Hatamoto or Cyclops).

Here's hoping Urbie, or King Crab.
I'll buy the crap out of both!
The Mongoose, I'd get anyway (because light), but it's basically just a Commando with a different shell.

I would love to see the Grasshopper and the Zeus, but I do pray the Zeus keeps the canon solid core right arm and we get the 6Y. Why? Because Binary Laser Cannons need to happen. Cyclops would be nice too, could use a dual Gauss Rifle toting IS assault.

They're both cooling fins (similar to those used on the CJF Totem Omnis), and "used in the complex and amazing Zeus mating ritual". ;)

Yes but do they actually take up space like a DHS? If so, hopefully PGI would make them have separate hitboxes or everyone will be running around with no arms.

I have faith that Alex and crew would do the Zeus honor, just like they have for all current mechs.
