So what's dropping tomorrow? Any ideas? I mean other than the S and the AH - are we getting a new chassis?

My initial thought is that the Zeus looks oddly fat and wide like an Awesome...please don't let us repeat the AWS fiasco. :( The Panther however seems pretty skinny, which should help the slow rascal not die. Enforcer looks like a Firestarter that's all growed up and the Grasshopper seems to steal the Griffin's legs.

The sale page will go up on Wednesday, and presumably so will variant info. Crossed fingers for the Binary Laser Cannon Zeus variant!

Do remember that the only lights forced to be slow lights are Omni-Mech Lights :P

But real question, I only see 2 variants for the Enforcer, MWO needs 3. So what is the 3rd?

Lack of urbie disturbing if expected....
Will have to see what the sale page brings, and what my funds are like (already have a King Crab assure anyway)

Congratz to those who wanted the zeus.

Light- Panther Kurita
Medium- Enforcer Davion (Finally something for vindicators to tangle with!)
Heavy- Grasshopper Marik?
Assault- Zeus Steiner

Missed the enforcer for my predictions...

The appearance of Enforcer is a surprise, even with 2 variants...

This augers well as other mechs with less than 3 variants will have a chance to shine!

If they're making up variants now, maybe that opens up other chassis that were previously denied due to lacking variants?

I would assume so, yes, though I would rather them focus on existing variants than making them up.

Lack of urbie means I might actually buy. No way in hell will I lay down any money for an Urbanmech.

I wonder if they'd go with a variant that showed up in the 3025 MW campaign I'm in: PPC, 2xSRM6, ML. It makes a disgusting amount of sense for a base tech campaign.

That's your opinion, which your welcome to.
I understand you and others don't like the Urbanmech.
I even understand why.

For myself and many others though, the inclusion of the Urbie would make this pack a 'Must Buy' rather than a 'maybe if I can afford it' or 'I'll just grind it' thing.
I've already spent pretty heavily this year with both Clan Packs, the WH40K Dark Eldar and my PCs Mobo dying and needing replacing, so I may not be able to afford it.
Urbie I'd have found a way though.

I know and thanks for being reasonable about it. I know that the Urban mech has a cult following around here, the "it's so bad, it's good" that just confuses the hell out of me. Not in the "every mech has to be amazing" but more that it's a mech that fills a super-niche that just isn't practical in a game like MWO where the maps are utterly random.

Sure, if you can get River City, River City Night, Frozen City & Frozen City Night as the only maps you play on, sure, it might actually be ok. If you wind up on Alpine though you're more of a detriment to your team than anything else. I think there's even some fluff that talks about how some commander was desperate for mechs against an invading enemy and ordered his urbanmechs out of the city to engage their enemies out in the fields. Suffice it to say, it went poorly.

With the Enforcer there is a basis, however shakey. The design started life as an unproduced Star League 'Mech and two Medium Lasers were dropped for the Large Laser. Depending on how they did it, we may or may not see a jump capable Wang.

It comes pretty damn close to TRO:3050 and the original mini. A little more lean and less of a gut than 3025, with. Much bulkier than 3050U. Still pretty consistent with the overall average though.

I am going to miss having some spending money. <_<

I don't mind having some varints made up as this allows us to bring in more mechs previously thought impossible due to variant constraints...

That's what I'm wondering, simplistic AC/10 rather than Daniel's Gauss for the non-Hero and hardpoint differences to allow Daniel's 4R later, or a 3025 tech take on one of the Enforcer III variants?
