Woot! We who called the BlackJack are very happy! :)

My future predictions:

#19: Orion - Like allot of others here, this Heavy just seems to fit the best and make the most sense.

#20: Banshee - Personally, I find the Assaults the hardest to guess, but the Banshee is the only 95 option - The Crockett is the only 85-ton option as well, assuming they went with something lighter and ignored the 3 possible 80-tonners that are also fan favourites.

#21: UrbanMech - I believe it was Garth (source?) that already stated that this mech was getting a treatment.
#22: Dervish
#23: Guillotine

All assuming that PGI continues to only announce IS Mechs for the next 5 months.

- I love the Hachetman and Axman, unfortunately variants don't start coming into production until the late 3050's. Though the day Melee combat is implemented into the game, I wouldn't be surprised they announced them. ;)

Banshee: 95 tons indeed... I don't know if they will choose it though (because of some crappy variants, like the primary).

Crockett: great mech, but uncommon and very variant restricted. And you are forgetting we already have the 85 tons Stalker.

UrbanMech: if they are starting another row of IS mechs, I think the UnderMech has chance to make it.

Dervish: well, it is one of the few 55 tons options out there, so why not?

Guillotine: good guess, but I believe the Grasshopper has slightly more chances (they are very similar anyway).

They could just lower the max number of hs for smaller series engines.

I think the 21st mech will be a clanner.

A Jump capable 45t Mech, with 2xAC2s and 4xMLs ... looks like a slight upgrade from a Jenner.

EXCEPT ... 64.8 mph.

Not sure what role this guy is supposed to have, but its got some good looks imo.

We're also going to get one with two energy and four missile hardpoints, all on the arms.

Hello, baby Catapult.

Not forgetting the Stalker, just saying if they did go with a 85-tonner, there isn't another viable option in the category (I meant to say only OTHER option, oh what one word can do to a sentence!)
Guillotine/Grasshopper, to me it's about even money, I just find the Guillotine a more interesting visual for Alex to work his magic on. ;)

In regards to the Clans, we know they're coming, we just don't yet know when they'll be playable/salvageable. I could see a second announcement table for them as well. They've stated wanting to get 2 mechs out a month after 'release', I wouldn't be surprised if they were aiming for 1 IS and 1 Clanner as their monthly output.

First four Clan mechs?
Light: Kit Fox/Uller - Tough selection to choose from...
Medium: Stormcrow/Ryoken - Works for me as much as the Nova/Black Hawk would.
Heavy: Timber Wolf/Mad Cat - as much as I would prefer the Mad Dog/Vulture myself...
Assault: Daishi/Dire Wolf - I'd rather the Warhawk/Masakari however.

All Iconic in their weight categories, all very popular.

A Reseen/redesigned Wolverine would fit in the 55-ton weight class just nicely.

It would. All Unseen/Reseen have lots of great variants.

But looking at the trend, I think PGI won't add any Reseen so soon, if they ever add. ;)

I would note that the Cyclops does not fill the tonnage gap. It's a 90 tonner like the Highlander. What we're missing is a 95 tonner. The only one that fits the bill (has multiple variants currently available) to my knowledge is the Banshee. (3E, 3M, and 5S seem like they'd be a decent combo)

You are right. I'm still thinking the Highlander wasn't announce yet. :/

If I could change 2 mechs in MWO would be Highlander and Spider.

Hey, the 3E and 3M are admittedly trash (and would need some hardpoint love), but the 5S is undeniably sexy. Gauss, 2 ERPPCs, SRM6, 4 Medium Lasers, and 2 Small Lasers.Think about how sweet an energy boat you could make with 8 energy hardpoints as well as a missile and ballistic hp.

This might have been done already, but I'm gonna throw some educated guesses on what the hardpoint layout of the Orion variants might be... I would be shocked if that's not the next heavy mech announced.

ON1-K (mini-Atlas)
RA: 1E
RT: 2B
HD:
CT:
LT: 2M
LA: 1E

ON1-V
RA: 1E, 1M
RT: 1B
HD:
CT:
LT: 1M
LA: 1E, 1M

ON1-VA
RA: 1E, 1M
RT: 2B

LT:
LA: 1E, 1M

ON1-M
RA: 1E
RT: 1B
HD:
CT: 1M
LT: 1M
LA: 1E, 1M

Tried to keep them all at 6 hardpoints, which seems about average for most MWO mechs

Let's compare our lists:

RA 1e, 1m

ON1-VA

LA 1e, 1m

RT 1b (probably 2b)
RA 1e, 1m

--------------------------
ON1-K (Double HS)

LA 1e, 1m

RT 1b
RA 1e, 1m

--------------------------
ON1-M (Double HS, XL Engine)

LA 1e, 1m

ON2-M (Double HS)

I think we aren't going to see the Black Knight any time soon because the Awesome already covers that role. I think the next assault is either the Orion, Banshee, or Zeus. I hope its the Zeus. I love that mech.

The Orion is a heavy mech (75 tons) and will likely be next. Hoping the next assault is the Zeus!

Does anyone know if the developers will continue to add Inner Sphere mechs when the Clans arrive?
We still need the Mauler, King Crab, and UrbanMech!!!

I think they will stop the IS ones at 20*, present the 16 clan mechs and then return to IS.

*It is getting harder to find fitting mechs and the roles will be already filled for the weight classes.

Ditto. Not so much on the 'Hopper, but I do loves me some Zeus action.

Can't imagine why that would be...
