would just love to see that urban mech hit the field. I wonder if they'll add elementals as AI controlled like turrets..........

I'd really, really love to see Alex's take on Elementals. Without those oversized, wonky SRM pods that look like they would topple BA trooper at slightest breeze.

Something like this, maybe:

First thank you Odanan for starting this thread. I visit everyday. Second I love all you mechs Bishop, you do a great job and they all look better then the original art work. And I would like to see your take on the Elemental.

Quoted for the awesomeness within. Very cool Bishop.

I'd be very happy with a Hussar.

Would also like to see a Firestarter or a Mongoose.

Can I dream of a Venom? (Even though its just a fatter Spider).

So many lights I like, I think there's no really way I could be disappointed with what they put in......

Did I just jinx myself saying that?

I like it. I've been toying with a "real world" take on the elemental too, because of some of the issues you mentioned.

thanks, and yeah, this is a pretty sweet thread Odanan put together. Well, an Elemental is on my back burner, but it is one the to do list. Who knows what inspiration will strike?

well, it was one of my earliest redesigns, long before adopting the MWO aesthetic.

I should probably revisit it, if only to get Odanan to stop posting that dreadful neckbeard version from the Alpha Strike cover. Alex is amazing, but that Banshee is far and away his worst work.

The thread wouldn't work without the collaboration of some of the best members in the MWO community. ;)

Are you talking about this?

Until you give us a new Banshee, I will keep posting it!

PS: I really like it, so give me a new love so I can dump the Biker Banshee for good.

hmm, I like and then I don't like the new art for the Banshee, mech itself looks good, but I don't like the way he shoved the head into the torso. looks more like an overgrown Tbolt. an there is not much detail on the face. BS's Banshee is much more detailed, and has the death head similar to an Atlas, looks like it fits in with the rest of the mechs in MWO imho!

Yeah I like Bishop's Banshee much better. Alex's version looks like an Atlas punched its cockpit in and rather than fix it they just painted over the damage. You could say that he beat the design over its head with a ugly stick.

I actually like some of the features for the body, so am thinking about finding a way to meld my basic head design to a blend of body types.

From NGNG podcast #100, we're getting a hero mech for an entirely new chassis on Feb 4th (not a hero for an existing chassis). There's a good chance it'll be a light, but if it is it won't be a Panther.

Go to 26 minutes for the reveal.

Guys... this means we might have 4 more IS mechs before the Clans arrive! That's exciting news!

- February: new light mech.
- March: new assault? mech.
- April: new ? mech.
- May: new ? mech.

Let the speculation begin!

For those who "turned on" now, good news: entirely new light mech February 4th.

Yeah that reminds me... I wonder how PGI will balance Battlemechs with Clan equipment?

Actually, I like cockpit assembly - what I have problem with is silhuette. I've always imagined Banshee as, roughly, taller but more slender Atlas. For me, it's It not the cockpit that feels sqashed, it's the whole body.

Entirely new 'HERO' Light mech... there has been no mention whether we will receive the CB variants within the same month or wait on them. After-all the Griffin and Wolverine still need to also be released to the public.

If I remember correctly, it's going to be as it was with Highlander - first the hero mech, then MC standard variants, then CB ones.

That's a new chassis, anyway.

Firestarter is a safe guess, but oh my, it would be a blast if it is the UrbanMech...

The Hussar is a possibility. My guesses quickly turned to the mech I thought least likely to be implemented, and I have been right a couple of times that way.

well, here is my Hussar II, torn between designing a contemporary version, or a maxxed out 3145 version for Republic Forces.
