One thing they mentioned there when it came to new maps was also variants of old maps. Like a Canyon network where the canyons are filled with water. Something like that I would really like to see if it was done right. That is, water which is actually deeper than thigh high to a heavy mech. Water which would completely cover the tallest of mechs. Imagine the possibilities of they did this right with water slowing movement and covered Jumpjets unable to be used. Mechs completely covered by water being basically invisible on the radar map (perhaps with the exception of seismic sensors) and unable to in turn detect anyone else as well (again with the exception of seismic) They would need a scout to lead them to the enemy as they stalked forward in hiding, and then the lance of Urbanmechs rise out of the water unexpectedly behind the enemy, Death Incarnate as they blow the inferior non-Urbies into scrapmetal before returning down into the sea that spawned them!

I'm a fan of more map variants and the flooded Canyon Network idea is one of may favorites. I wouldn't do it very deep though, imagine trying to find that last Spider..... I'd rather they filled it to about head high for a Jenner, you know, the deepest parts are no deeper than sections of Forest Colony or Crimson Straight. Also, This would be hard for PGI to code, but it would be a neat dynamic to have the water flowing and pushing against your mech. It is a flood after all. Imagine that AFK or D/C mech gettign swept away into a pile near one edge. Since the new rejoin mechanic, maybe have the flood waters flow start after 10 minutes or something....
