Yeah... With how the matchmaker queues are with heavies and assaults being over 30% most of the time. Plus with all the hints towards the Vindicator I am betting that PGI would release it so that they can earn some $ and lower the wait times all with one mech. It would be foolish not too and I bet that having it will have people so happy that it would drown out most of the people crying for another heavy or assault.

Thinking in a reverse logic, wouldn't it be more lucrative to release mechs for the weight classes people actually care play with?

I agree except that most people only play the favorite assault, Victor-DS, Atlas-DDC, Dire Wolf, and Warhawks. If the new mech does not fit the meta that allows for 2 PPC and a ballistic or 2 or ECM then it will become a rarity like the Awesome (pre patch), Highlander, and Battlemaster. Now if the hero assault fits the current meta or has ECM then yes they would make a fortune.

I am hoping for a new assault, medium, or light so that my wait times go down, since I basically stopped using all of my mechs except for my babies (Timber Wolves)

I have been saying it for a bit that PGI's Jagermech looks like a heavier Rifleman, so it does not come as a surprise that they look very similar. Even more so when you add in PGI's heavier look = realism that they have used for MWO. Still I would love to see a quad Gauss sniping assault mech stomping across the battlefield. You also could drop 2 GRs and replace them with AC10s for more ammo, armor, and engine. A bonus to that is instead of a 30 alpha you could have a 50 alpha.

If Microsoft or whoever owns, Battletech, MechWarrior is still using unseen designs or related to unseen battlemechs. does this mean PGI has a chance to use this quad gauss machine in MWO http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Rifleman_III

Of all mechs, Rifleman III is one of the least likely to appear in any game. From Sarna:
