It's called collateral damage, it is often unavoidable... How ever it'd sure make the Death Star achievement easy to get....

post mortem achievements being the most desirable....

I've got a couple titles he could spoof:

God, I hated the original movie back when I was younger. I used to be deathly paranoid of swimming in fresh water lakes in fear of getting consumed by piranhas. Ironically I wasn't afraid of Jaws as much as the original Piranhas when I was 7.

Now we need to lobby for some IS (lighter) mechs full of machineguns. Any suggestions?

Uh...Hollander with hardpoint inflation?

Maybe the Razorback? It comes stock with 4 ballistic hardpoints (and some minor energy/missile backups).

I will continue my Sarna search and report back if I find anything else.

EDIT: There's the Silver Fox that has 5B + 3E hardpoints out of the box. Problem is that it requires Magshots.

EDIT2: The Hussar variant that comes with an LB 10-X could be inflated similar to the Hollander.

The LCT-5T. Introduced in 3070. 1E, 6B, LMG's are linked in 2 machine gun arrays. So little ways off.

Then there is the Flea Fire Ant. 3E, 6B. Introduced 3063. One more reason we desperately need the Flea.

Sure, there'll be more, but since there're 1288 BattleMechs IS-exclusive available in this timeline...

What gets really confusing is the PGI naming convention.

IIRC clan naming is numbers for BattleMechs (eg. SNV-1) and letters for OmniMechs (eg. MLX-A). They started that with the Origins package and their own created variants and it confuses the living bajeebus out of me.

Also Sarna uses PRA for the Piranha, PGI uses PIR.

Yeah... We might need the Flea (those machineguns convinced me), but can it be after the Wasp?

Also, the Vulcan might be a good option (with hardpoint inflation).

I could totally go for a Vulcan.

Would need some serious inflation tho. Just 2B on the -2T. Even less on some of the variants. Not that something like that ever hindered PGI... just saying... Posted Image

Fire Ant is 15 tons, making it a no-go even if PGI did decide to add the Flea. However, it's quite likely that they could/would make a non-canon 20-ton Fire Ant.

EDIT: I dun derped.

I could argue that the existing Lolcust 1V could safely be inflated to that level...

The Fire Ant is 20 tons, perfectly ok.

You may be thinking about the FLE-14, which is 15 tons.

Great song, but what's the relation of the Flea with Iron Maiden?

*sigh*

Really, as a Brazilian you should not need anyone to make your heavy metal connect the dot's for you, but here ya go, form the Sarna page on the Flea: *to be read in a very erudite Oxford Professor type of voice*

"Focused on speed and firepower, the lightly armored Flea was an extremely rare sight until the arrival of the Wolf's Dragoons mercenary unit, with the design experiencing a revival as an inexpensive recon and anti-personnel militia 'Mech.

Initially called the Trooper when it was introduced as the Free Worlds League's first light scout BattleMech in 2475, the design was so heavily flawed that it took twenty-five years before all the issues were corrected, with a new name selected to escape the bad press."
