Hollander, 35T, 175 engine, 5/8, 81kph.
Same stock engine as the Raven 2X/4X, Panther 10P, larger stock engine than the other Panthers - same stock speed as the Cougar.
Likely 100-275 or 100-300 engine range.

Hollander II, 45T, 225 engine, 5/8, 81kph.
Same stock engine as the Blackjack 1X, Vindicator 1AA, larger than other Vindis and Blackjacks
Likely 100-295 or 100-300 engine range.

I see both size Hollanders likely having a 100-300 engine range, in line with the faster 35T mechs and mid-range for 45T mechs.
Minimum 3 Hardpoints across the line (4 if you go out to the BZK-3), likely inflated to 6-7 in line with other small mediums / large lights.

Likely around the size of a Firestarter / Vindicator, likely with similar hitboxes to the Shadowhawk or Hunchback, but a bit smaller.

I actually think the Hollander (specifically Hollander II) is a bit more viable now with all the new weapon additions as well. Instead of a Gauss Rifle, it could carry a Light Gauss with SRMs or MRMs and larger energy now. It has some options in loadouts that weren't as robust before the FedCom civil war era MWO.

You're talking about adding an mg boat or a dual ac2 mech at 35 tons. Also, it's fans all want it in large part for the over-sized gun so it'll be quite large, Alex does tend to base his art off the tro's artwork afterall. Panther speed and a big shoot here box? Even with considerable durability quirks it'll get popped easily. Also if we're being real, PGI isn't going to create two models for the same mech only to sell it at regular price.

The 45t Hollander II could be ok but do you really want a BJ with worse hitboxes? It would probably be ok given enough quirks but depending on quirks is just a bad idea.

So all we need to do is inflating the hardpoints massively, increasing the engine cap (regular engine cap for the 35t variants would be 245, nowhere near 275 or even 300), perhaps improving the geometry, adding variants from another weight class – and then we might end up with an average 35t light to compete with the Wolfhound.
What could go wrong? Posted Image

The concept of the Hollander is using one big one on a small chassis. If you do not want that – wisely so! – there is no reason to ask for a Hollander in the first place.

Mediocre 35t Mechs without JJ are not what the IS light Mech line-up in MWO needs. We need jump capable 20t or 25t Mechs. The Hollander, even the massively buffed, not-so-Hollander-like Hollander proposed by Ovion, does not do any good for the gameplay. It will be used once or twice and then it will go the way of the Hellspawn.
Btw., in this thread I was told the Hellspawn would be super fine, too...Posted Image

I don't really feel like we need a Stinger or a Wasp in MWO either, however many people are adamant about having those mechs added in eventually.

The heart wants what the heart wants :).

Stinger / Wasp gives nostalgia, as well as a jumping 20T mech, which is something MWO doesn't have.

I've never been impressed by the Stinger and Wasp, even prior to MWO. They always struck me as doing the same job as the Locust, only slower.

Okay, they have Jump Jets which the Locust doesn't. That's no small thing. But even in TT lore, they're almost identical visually speaking, so they might as well be two different variants of the same mech chassis despite the designation difference.

Well I do agree they are pretty much the same the other JJ equipped 20 tonners are slower or have worse HPs plus PGI would have to be crazy to pick an other 20t JJ light considering their overall popularity.

Personally I think the next IS light should be a 25 tonner, preferably one with JJ to differentiate it from the Commando. WTB the Brigand or Nexus.

I actually think this would be a fine idea. Give them slightly different arms and head, same bodies. Make the Wasp 1A, 1D, and Stinger 3R the release mechs. Make the Wasp 1W and Stinger 3G the reinforcements. Then pick a hero for each.

That way, we get both the Stinger and Wasp, and a jumping 20 tonner back in MWO.

Hell, give the Wasp 1A for free to everyone for signing up, and have it be a trainer mech to celebrate the victory over the evil empire.

I think I'd rather see a Hollander II, only since it would be a tiny bit more capable/flexible.

Overall though, I would like to see a Hollander in some form in MWO. Maybe it is my old experiences in MechCommander creating some rose-tinted Nostalgia glasses for the Hollander II, but I thought it was cool in that game, and I think it would be a cool addition In this one too.

Seen headed to the printer for testing... But being this is a Magnum, the most powerful 40 tonner in the Inner Sphere and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk? Posted Image

Bishop, ask them to make your Archer. If I'm going to order, I'm going to order the full Alpha Lance!

Heck, they could sell a pack with all the 14 mechs of Battletech's 2nd edition:
LCT-1V Locust
STG-3R Stinger
WSP-1A Wasp
PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk
GRF-1N Griffin
SHD-2H Shadow Hawk
WVR-6R Wolverine
RFL-3N Rifleman
CRD-6R Crusader
TDR-5S Thunderbolt
ARC-2R Archer
WHM-6R Warhammer
MAD-3R Marauder
BLR-1G BattleMaster

Archer?

....not recollecting an Archer. (plus... there are plenty of the MWO ones on the market which is pretty much the best the Archer has ever looked IMO)

I think this covers my full series to date

-Magnum (Clint)
Posted Image
Hauberk (original design Cataphract update)
Posted Image
Bullshark (needs no introduction, I hope....)
Posted Image
Big Mac (Mackie)
Posted Image
Kaiser (Caesar)
Posted Image
Krieghammer (Primitive Tech Warhammer)
Posted Image
Dingo (Jackal, non Humpty Dumpty style)
Posted Image
Fearbringer (Vulcan anti infantry variant)
Posted Image
Tinman (Hatchetman)
Posted Image
Lumberhack (Axman. Early design that the sculptor kinda screwed up. Also the 2N mesh was never done)
Posted Image
Needle (Stinger)
Posted Image
Ratel (Wolverine)
Posted Image
Hwacha (Longbow)
Posted Image
Arisaka (Japanese Battletech inspired Rifleman... another one the 3D modeler didn't get to ortho specs)
Posted Image
Dreadnought (MechForce UK design update of the ... Dreadnought)

And IIRC my version of the Wasp and possibly Locust, are in modeling phase, with Ostscout, Goliath and Whitworth also in pipeline further down the road.

I see... you are right... the arms lost something in the conversion.

And, wow! That Rifleman is fantastic!

I don't think so.

Actually, looking at the mechs, indeed Argus has very high chance of appearing.

But as I explained on other thread, near 0% Crusader would appear for July.
