7 med pulse on firstarter-s with xl255 is by far my top performing mech, and basically the only one I play these days.

edit: my dire wolf is only slightly behind in damage/kills

Centurions are now quickly becoming my favorite. The Centurion with the A/C 10 quirk is amazing. Skilled out with an A/C 10 cool down module allows it to fire almost as fast as the LBX version (which kind of stinks still :/ ). The A/C 20 Cent is right there too.

i do pretty good in my D, but I tend to run around harassing, then toward the end, go full vulture.

I want my favorite build to be the 4x ERPPC Warhawk. But in actual gameplay its not terribly effective. I can manage to deal a fair bit of damage, but it just doesnt kill much. Ofc, my PC is partly to blame, having required and recommended specs mostly....ugh.
