PGI really screwed up by cutting that game which is now nearly dead.
There is less than 100 player now.
Hopefully they are still active and make some event during week-ends. (Chaos March)
According to PGI, there was not enough room for MechWarrior: Living Legends and MechWarrior Online to operate side-by-side. That is like saying there is no room for World of Tanks and Battlefield to operate side-by-side; MWLL is basically Battlefield 3065, and MWO is essentially World of Mechs. The disgusting thing is the way they keep lying about the MWLL devs wanting to shut down the project. If the MWLL devs had wanted to shut down the project, they would not have nearly completed the mechlab and persistent stat tracking that they had planned to implement; PGI forced them to exclude these features if they wanted to keep the website and download links active. Thanks a lot, PGI.

Anyway, MWLL Fridays is a thing; a lot of the guys from CGB, as well as several other groups and a bunch of independent players, get really active in MWLL on Friday evenings, US time. If you wanted to try MWLL, tonight is the night to install it, so you can get your game on tomorrow night!

I am having lots of fun in Arena Commander; furthermore, as a couple of the MWLL devs I talk to regularly happen to be working for Cloud Imperium Games, I hear a lot more than is put in the press releases; suffice to say, they are not taking people's money and twiddling their thumbs. If you read up on everything they are doing, and how complex it is, well...it is a rather impressive undertaking.
Also, 'several hundred devs'? LOL
