No, before and after the contract balancing there was NO one in Kruita. They were losing then and can't win now that is why they are whining. The Clans already had a low population when CW started this just nerfed them to the point we can't hold a planet. PGI only made every single player and Merc leave us so now we have maybe 3 or 4 active units on each Clan tops. Explain to me how that is fair? And again Kruita never had a good population then... and the fact is doesn't now means no one wants to play them no matter what.

Kurita had a low population this whole time and PGI just didn't give them bonuses like the other low pop factions? I don't buy that. In the very first week Kuirta had 228, a very strong unit, and lots of players yet they still took planet hits due to not being organized over all.

Saxie's point is pretty strong...the main issue that Wolf is facing is a solid amount of teamwork. There is nothing more OP in CW that coordinated teamwork between more than one unit.

While you may think the recent change has to do with cbills, I would doubt that. Most of the teams care little for the small cbill bonus from PGI. To most of us "mercs" (aren't there like over 100 posts of Wolf folks saying they hate Merc's and hope they all get out of clan space? Yeah...there are. Funny. It happened!) we pick a few factions that will get us battles (where the real money is made...not the PGI bonus), and be interesting for the game board overall. Many of the merc teams also like switching back and forth from IS to Clan for the purpose of playing our garages. Until this week most of the merc teams were spread out and on both sides of the IS/Clan war, but this last week saw many teams switch at the same time to IS, or stay IS, and gather in Steiner and FRR territories. No wonder Wolf is getting hit hard. That's a lot of OP teamwork on your border. And what Saxie is saying is that at least some of us will move again...and once more we will call clan space home just so we can enjoy playing with our other mechs again.

If it gets bad, expect contract prices to shift again (as they have in the past) and the balance will bend another direction.

Just like it has the last few times. I expect such bonuses to be dynamic in nature- if, say Liao steamrolled it's way through a depopulated Davion, Davion contract rates would improve and they'd get units coming in to stem the tide.

The fact that Wolf wasn't given any 'enticement perks' would suggest that they have a decent size faction. So if they are losing planets it is due to facing more competitive units- the same units the Clans used to gain all that ground in the first weeks themselves. So it isn't 'CW is broken', it's more like 'CW working as intended'. Broken would be if every single unit took a permanent contract and population imbalances were never addressed.

So your point is that Kruita were a bunch of idiots who didn't know how to work together and still don't and can't hold a planet even with a population higher than every Clan?

Also your Merc theory... doesn't hold up cause the Clans were winning hands down... So the most money was going to be made by the victors not losers... kinda how C-bill rewards work. Winners make more. But you guys abandoned the Clans for those meager c-bill advances. Only other explanation is everyone had major fits of RP characterization and joined a different faction which still doesn't make sense with the Mercs. The money was being made with the Clans before the C-bill enhancements. Haven't you noticed the minute those boosts came for the other factions that the Clans took 2 planets before losing like 6? Numbers don't lie. The minute those shifts changed the Clan player base dropped huge amounts and now we are screwed because you won't come back until we make more money.

Clan Wolf units were very organized and still are...... Its obvious OP teamwork doesn't work when all the players are against your team. The Map, the Contract enhancement, and the drop in Clan players means the Mercs left because of the money.

In short-
Kruita either had a huge population and just sucked balls and couldn't hold a planet then and now
or they had a low population and still do.

Clan Player base..... based on money. The day those contract enhancements came in Clan advancement stopped and the number of Clan players dropped and the IS small factions suddenly took planets from us and Davion........... Saxie's statement holds no water when the numbers come out. Numbers don't lie. The mercs left suddenly to smaller Factions (whose pops upped significantly) and the Clans dropped and now are losing ground......

In short CW is broken it just sucks.

First off, those are your words calling Kurita "idiots" and "sucked balls". I am just talking about the need for good organization. I can point to Wolf's push to hold onto their Butte Hold as a moment of excellent coordination. When a team communicates and works well with the other units in a faction it pays off very well. I would also point to the CSJ faction as a group that has done well despite having low numbers for most of the game so far. However they got organized after the first week and it paid off very well for them. Organization. It's right up there with teamwork in how it's OP.

Second off, if we all wanted cbills from a PGI bonus wouldn't we have gone Liao? Last I looked they had the best rewards. The big merc shift had to due with political factions. Some of us Merc's talk, and plan, and keep open diplomatic channels, and even try to shift the power dynamic of the entire war.

Third, population. I have seen a number of posts by Wolf aligned units saying they are going to step away from CW due to having to face either OP IS mechs (9S) or due to having to face OP Unit Teams. It may be your faction has a large population but that the folks signed up for wolf just aren't playing. You have my sympathy if that is the case, but that again might be rectified through diplomacy and team building. It could be Kurita faced those same problems early on, with a lager than normal pug population or absent players who had signed up. I don't know if PGI is tracking active players or how they determine population. Probably a good question to bring up with them.

Saxie is clearly much more aware than you are of the ties between many of these merc groups. Did I mention we talk? MWO is not that big of a community....

And just as a reminder, a number of the merc groups keep switching back and forth from IS to Clan...while you can watch Faction gains clearly on a chart of net planet gains wherever merc teams go, indicating teams are indeed successful and that factions benefit greatly from having them, it is also very clear that at no time have those gains just been Clan until now. I would like to give props to Clan Jade Falcon members for a moment who had to face a large number of Steiner Units a few weeks back over Persistence. That battle lasted days in stalemate yet I don't recall JF making posts about quitting the game and that CW sucks. (Maybe they did and I just haven't seem them.) FRR lost planet after planet but most of their units played on stoicly, fighting the good fight. And Kurita has lost more planets than any other faction and yet Nights Scorn isn't crying...they are recruiting and organizing so they can fight back!! Props to those guys. It hasn't even been a full week of attacks on Clan Wolf yet the cries of CW Broken seem loud over this. Patience and Resolve my friend. Patience and Resolve.

Balance would see more Stalemates not huge flip overs. Clans would be able to take a planet if it was balanced. Instead its the opposite. We can't even hold planets do to no population.

When Wolf can't hold planets it is because they have no population and the game isn't balanced. When Kurita can't hold planets it's because they suck. *eye roll*

..... Never said Wolf. Said Clans... That's four factions versus 1. 4 wins. When ALL Clans are losing ground at once it is unbalanced. again use your brain and that thing called Logic. There are also things called numbers. When they don't add up they aren't correct. When ALL 4 Clans can't hold ground it greatly outways 1 of 6 Inner Sphere Factions. Kruita was sucking at CW before the change and still are after the change. This logically means they are not working together, underpopulated, or just talk a bigger game than they have.

Logically the numbers don't lie. Population went down and as every clan is saying that along with quite a few from the Inner Sphere I think the numbers are in my favor.

First off- FRR has same amount of rewards with C-bills now. Thus my statement stands because FRR (which was the lowest populated faction with the least organized units) is now heavily populated and taking over Ghost Bear and Wolf planets at once.

MWO isn't a big community because of stuff like this. Why do you think that the average player base at once is not much higher than 200? Cause the game stinks because nothing works. It is unbalanced.

Again numbers don't lie. This game according to PGI had close to 500,000 people with accounts. Given maybe 2000 people play now it means the game stinks or 500 thousand people just don't have computers that work for the game......... Numbers predict that they just thought the game sucked and left.

Which is backed up by what you just said. All these people realized CW sucked and left. I don't give a crap if it is "BETA" this is ALPHA in reality. It is crap. You don't release the product until it works and CW quite clearly doesn't.

Let's see the numbers: Kruita says it isn't working, All 4 Clans say it isn't working...... No one but the Mercenaries who don't give 2 craps about the faction are the only ones who say it works..... and they are not the majority base. Thus my statement stands. Only the Mercs say it works because they don't need to care. Whereas the Factions being destroyed by unbalanced issues because of Mercs leaving and tanking to the factions with more cash which is clearly seen with the FRR.

Numbers never lie dude. Prove to me they lie. Because they say right now that 5 Factions say CW is junk, 80% of the Player base says so, and the other factions don't like it much either cause it was the same way when CW started.

In short it started junk still is junk and now because of it all the players are leaving it. Explain the player losses if this is such a great product dude.

And when the IS was losing ground to the Clans every day everything was working as normal, right?

If the entire balance of the game depends on where the Mercs are working maybe they ARE the majority base?

Seems you are mad that the Mercs that propped up your Clan factions left and now CW isn't fun for you anymore.

Where are the guys who made these bold claims?

Seems when Clanners are winning they have a lot of fun. Shame they are such poor losers.

Also I will go ahead and link those threads on the Clans if you like. Why? Cause its true we were OP. Yes, we like to win.... but as I see when we do.... oh wait you start acting the way we do now... which also means you losers (in the literal sense of the Timeline) started the trend......

No, when you were winning all the time, you never said the game was unbalanced. Only now that you are getting competition do you think the game is 'unfair'. But that is how bad players think- when you are winning you are all Elite, and when you lose the game is unfair.

As for your claims that Clan Wolf is small and needs to attract more players, well that is kinda laughable.

As for us Mariks, well we are having fun with CW. We are enjoying fighting our larger neighbours, and I think they are enjoying fighting us. Since we are having fun CW is a big win for all of us in Steiner, Davion, and Marik. Shame that the rest of you are such miserable <redacted>.

GRRRRRR!!!!!!!! and stuff...

I am truly...awed...by your argument sir. You know, technically speaking we are all Merc's in the current PGI system...so...you know...you have just as much ability to move around as the rest of of us last I looked. I mean...couldn't all of the pro-clan warriors band together to save Wolf territory for a week? Nothing stopping folks from doing this last I looked...

As for your insistence that CW sucks...well...we will have to agree to disagree. Despite the poor record of PGI in development of this game, and the many bugs and balance issues that PGI still needs to make to CW, I have to hand it to them that overall I find the game fun again. I enjoy it and look forward to the next stages of development, and even appreciate the current speed of that development. This game may never be the game I hoped for 3 years ago, but it's a hell of a lot better than it was 1 year ago.

I don't think you know the difference between ALPHA or BETA.

Have the Dracs tried sending wave after wave of their own men at the Clans until they reach their pre-set kill limit and shut down?
