Have The Clans Stop Defending Against Us?

especially in the game mode such as CW where the team can have a mass of them and not follow the 3333 rule really is quite frustrating on the clan side for those playing to see why people are complainning about these mechs when you see them over and over again it's quite old now

Even better....have us come up from mech bays that are under ground or in a building....defender dont need drop ships we are already on the base.
This exactly.
I think that certain planets being capped should scrap the capabilities of certain planetary defenses. What if Irece was supplying Caripare with defensive units, or ammunition. If they did introduce guard units, they could be pre-damaged, or out of ammo for weapons. And what about Other fronts? Say us JAgs are pushing hard on the Dracs and the Fed rats decide to hit the misery corridor hard, is it fully supplied? Does it have as much or were things transferred to the clan OZ line? If they introduce factories, troop garrison planets, and political centers there could be different bonuses and determinets to gaining and losing them.
Factories: Well armed defense, mechs are repaired quickly...but if they destroyed you need a garrison planet within x jumps to replenish pilots within x hours (we could have jump distance = an hour for supply purposes)
Garrisons: This planets train and supply mechwarriors, they have an initially large supply of units to draw upon for defense, but once the mechs are destroyed you will need a factory planet to replenish supplies
Political Centers: This can give your units within a sphere of influence bonus speeds to supply movement, or if you are near enemy planets can reduce enemy planet efficiency.
Supply Lines: If you have planets that are cut off from your other planets such as the the DC and FRR have right now then they cannot receive bonuses or reinforcements as they are effectively blockaded, this will increase the need to hold your supply lines open.
Anyway these are just rough ideas but I can easily see these being really fun and creating more meaningful meta to CW.

On another note, I have found that Jag units are pretty friendly to each other and work with one another to cap planets, so we welcome fun matches and look forward to the eventuality of the Inner Sphere becoming grey.

I don't know man... I am a 50-50 crap shoot right now with the Jags and who I drop with. Some do want to work together and try things other then the zerg rushes to the gens.... like on borel for instance you can push alpha gate, go just past to the left and use the hills and cover to brawl there, and win by brawling. Only pushing just far enough to bait the enemy to come out after you, and to take turrets out when there are no other targets. Other times, I have seen guys in trial Nova's with 12 med lasers taking command, and have a pretty narrow minded battle plan. On other drops, I have seen guys trying to hit planets that only have no defenders and ghost taking the planet. This didn't work out last night on our front and we didn't hold Irece either. WTF!

What we have is the classic PvE vs PvP MMO balance debate except it's CW vs Pub Queue. I think a lot of the perception about Clan mech's come from their performance in Public Queues. The power of their weaponry combined with the map design allows you to mentally paper over the fact that most of their mechs are total garbage for CW. Another group are merely 'meh' and then you have 2 great ones, and none of them can build a nearly as effective high mount point pinpoint sniper build.

I take it you are normally dropping with pugs just the are Clan Smoke Jaguar pugs? Because if you go to the strana mechty Teamspeak even if you are a pug you can get with any unit quick to get in on fights. All of the clans organize and try to hit worlds simulteneously and they are pretty good at it. Last night the issue was most people couldn't get on until very close to ceasefire. Also We focused on defense of Idlewind instead of Irece, this lost us Irece but prevented a hole in our supply line.

SA, DERP, 267 and others all use it and are always looking to fill up slots to get a 8 or 12 man fielded.
We (SA) often have 1-3 12 mans running and allow Temp Tagging of Solo Jags if they would like or just coordinate Synch Drops. (Which work very, very often)
Come find us....unless you are a hard core PUG LIFER which is fine by me!

You will not be able to take the "home" planet anyway. So no big loss.
Have fun with the few hundred ghost drops in your belt to brag about.

Yes, at least as long as the faction rewards for these IS Surats continue to attract elite mercenaries to carry their pitiful regular armies.

That shouldn't be a factor at all - every faction is affected equally by real life obligations.
The clans rolled the innersphere while everybody was gone on break, and now the innersphere is rolling the clans while everybody is busy with work. Nothing really has changed.

Actually is it a factor.....if 100 people are not present in a 200 person faction you were cut in half.
If 100 people are not present on a 1,000 person faction well we all know maths.....
So seeing as the IS is more numerous then the Clans i'd say we take a harder hit then you when players get back to RL.
But i dont have numbers to support this either way...just hear say.

I think you missed the part where the IS mostly benefited from the units the Clans hemorrhaged. The units that were driving Clan success are probably the same units now driving IS success.
And as I previously mentioned, boredom seems to be seeping in. I have heard of a few units taking a break from CW.

They might not be pitiful after awhile. Players might have learnt a thing or two by chatting with and or observation of how the most powerful units operate. Elite faction units and merc units alike.
Seems like players are getting better to adapt IMO.
In my observations I've noticed as long as someone gives instructions, most follow. Many asks what to do and where they are needed and thats good. Especially if somone is fresh and green, its extremely important to give them a friendly welcome, make them stay, give them basic knowledge of how to succeed. Slowly but steadly, members of most factions are learning the hardship of CW and not to give up! We need more people in every faction for CW to really kick in an even higher gear.
My guess is that even if Merc units leave FRR for example. I'll bet we will focus even more, spice things up a bit. Time will show, clanners. You are fewer? but your stubbornes is admirable.

It is laughable that people sill say clans are OP after all the nerfs to the clans and boosts to the IS ... hell I even see IS people quoting the weapon specs without even considering the Quirks that their mechs get! (which is what really makes them OP , not to mention that IS LRM have always been way better than their clan counterpart and as for IS lights ... they make clan lights look like something someone found on a junk pile!).
Also as the clan mechs are so expensive in C-Bills , access to them is more limited for players to these factions using that route. 3 warhawks for instance is what ? 45 million ish? How many IS mechs can you get for that ? So even if players want to play as the clan faction it will be limited due to the time it takes to accumulate the C-Bills then train up the skills and fit them out etc etc etc....

Specialized decks are easier to counter - adapt, we did now it´s your turn.
Last year I stopped running my T-Bolt Deck by the way... to be one step ahead.
