The Most Disgusting Word In Gaming Dictionary

You know that the devs/coders/implementers just gave up and just wanted to get home for the evening and meet the deadline.
When you hear the word "placeholder" expect the replacement to arrive at soonest 5 years after implementing the placeholder.
Turns my stomach seeing this feature in basically every game nowadays. Seems to be a stock feature that comes with the "f2p/forever beta" genre.
Your thoughts on this term, which is plaguing the gaming industry nowaways?

IDK, I find "meta", "1337", "viable", "minmax", "competitive" all just about as bad.

I agree, MWO has made "competitive' a bad word. It shouldn't be but when the game-play and balance is driven by a small minority of unnamed "competitive" players, the label gets a little tarnished.

lol that's the word I was trying to think of ... viable... *shudders*
And "wallet"... I can't help but see someone who says "sorry, but my wallet stays closed for now." as some ego-strung pompous tard who thinks just because he said "Wallet", that it grants him immediate and unlimited power, as if they're the richest b****es in all the land with all teh monies.

"viable" wouldn't be so bad if the grognards tossing it around actually knew what it meant. The term they mean, is "optimal". Either that, or to their limited PoV, only optimal builds are viable?
Which is conceivable for the highest level of Comp Play, I suppose. And it's true most of those players tend to be utterly myopic, and clueless, about how the other 99% perceive and play the game.

Aka bads that can't be bothered to play if it requires any sort of effort or communication.

That's what videogame makers mean nowadays, yes. You can be a bad like that, it's okay. Just don't play my games. Unfortunately, due to mass-appeal and the search for the optimum audience, it's been decided that we must tone games down for max accessibility, with lots of pre-orders. The position may or may not change depending on how many casuals we can attract.
I love the term whale, too.
What a terrible thing to call your customers. That's not even getting into how they're perceived. Little more than walking wallets meant to be speared and squeezed for money.

"shítters"
"gg" (for god's sake, if you're going to show some respect to the enemy team, make the effort of typing it out and having it be unique to every match. If you've ever been in a match with me, you'll know what I mean. Usually only the winning team ever says it and as such it comes across as condescending, especially in stomps)
"aimbot/cheater/hacks"
"noskill"

If you are going to get real, the word that churns my stomach is "early access", I wish steam had a filter to ignore any game flagged as such.
too many companies are bringing their crap to market to soon.
MWO has been the only early access game that I felt hit the market at the right time (in fact can we go back to those halcyon days, of standard engines, single heat sinks, and 8v8).
