^^^^^ Not a bad idea

Allow Mercs to have tags on a planet for so long as they stay with that faction. As soon as they leave, their tags leave with them. Maybe their tags just get relegated to the attack log on each planet

Might be a little harsh and im sure not a popular idea...

And they lose faction points at an increasing rate while they are away and lose access to unique, exclusive faction rank-based rewards (which PGI needs to implement).

While I just started 3 weeks ago I think that these solutions are the wrong way for rewarding loyalists and mercs. A good solution would be a combination of next planet attacks choices which are partially decided by loyalist personal. This wouldn't necessarily apply to all attack options and I believe leaving room for the algorithm is still needed

The solution is to allow half of the planets in the next attack phase to be decided by loyalist votes. There must always be X amount of planets that need to be attacked, but loyalist can assist where the fighting can center. This setup forces people to fight, but also partially allows for the choice of who or where they want to put the most pressure. Loyalists can be given control over who is attacked the LEAST, but they cannot stop people from attacking or fighting for the given contracts.

Easy safe guards can be implemented to ensure that only two planets from any nearby factions can be attack per front. Since only half the planets are chosen by Loyalist players there will still be unique attack options for non-loyalist players.

Here is an example for further breakdown:

Faction Marik- Attack round
  • During the attack Loyalist players are given the option to vote on two planets who they would like to attack next round.(Or could vote on what faction they want the planets to be chosen from)
  • A player majority selects two Kurita planets(those planets must be on a boarder with Marik faction)
  • The next attack round those planets with the majority have attack lanes opened.
  • The algorithm also selects an additional two planets from other factions which will be opened on the next phase.

This solution forces attacking, if no votes are made the algorithm proceeds normally. Ontop of all this you could even layer that the Algorithm planets gain more loyalty points, cbills, and favor with the house NPCs leaders for merc factions. Which means that there is still reasons to listen to the 'computer choice' but players can still have a sizeable impact. The voting process for loyalists can also gain cbill and LP towards your given faction. If the planet you vote for wins and you attack it you gain a slight bonus to cbill-LP payout.

Because I could ramble forever on the fine points of it flushing out additional detail I'll stop here. The whole point is that this encourages fighting, RP, and general player freedoms. Nobody has full control over a factions actions, but they have a sizable influence on where attacks can be made.

Well, not that i can change anything as a pugger, but i will continue to make those suffer who think that a samurai could ever be an easy victim, may he be fighting organized or alone, outnumbered or not, respected or betrayed.

If your going to role play. Do it alteast with your actual friends in your parent basement. Having to do it online is just a worse low. BUT if this is your only option. Here is how to proceed.

Step 1) Tell everyone you are living off of that your looking for a job
Step 2) Role play online anyway and roll a D6 to get the imaginary girl.
Step 3) Get good lotion.
Step 4) Enjoy the next 40 years of your life.
Step 5) Contemplate later in life where you went wrong
Step 6) Realize it was here.
Step 7) Regret everything in last moments

btw it's not a d6, it's a d100. you have to roll a 99 or a 100. So, 2% chance.

Is it a single D100 or do I do that thing where I roll a D10 for each digit?

2d10s are a lot easier to find than 1d100

Your mech explodes in a gargantuan inferno, taking out all of Kentares IV. Well played, Jinjiro.

I´m always impressed by the sheer ignorance of people when in comes to roleplay.
There are so many people who assume those dumb prejudices.
Since you are a gamer obviously you should know how dumb such prejudices are, but i somehow sense why you can give such an accurate description of the less fortunate people in life. ^^

I for my part do roleplay in the lounge of my house with my wife and friends (Who all are working and in reationships or married) when my law office and my work for the coordinator leave the time.

The only thing i regret right now is that i use some of my time to answer to such a dumb post. But heck...if it helps to tutor you. I´m always up to support the less fortunate in life. ^^

And by the way, im pretty sure i rolled a 100 on a d100 8 Years ago. :)

Getting back to topic: Last night Marik units (not MS) were heavily attacking Quentin. And as far as I know, they were not simply handing over Deneb Algedi either. But I heard that "loyal Marik units" won't do this since Kurita announced they do not wish to continue this "wormhole" experiment.
So is "loyal Marik unit" as much of an oxymoron as BT canon would have it? Or has Kurita been had the whole time and the "island" was nothing but a trick to gain some worlds for little effort?
