If Marik chose to fight Kurita for the Wormhole, then let's not muddy the waters with comments like "Kurita's lack of commitment to fighting the Clans" or "It's not about the nSL. Oh by the way, the nSL means Kurita is attacking our ally Davion".
I honestly thought we had more respect for our erstwhile allies than to bandy about forum posts like these.
That bit about the alliances is, of course, your opinion, and it doesn't represent everyone. I'm not the only one with misgivings about present company. I'm still new here, and I will defer to whatever decision we make as a faction, but I would personally prefer alliances and associations with people whose skill averages out to "average" but display decency and character than people whose overall skill level is "above average," but lack the latter two. Maybe that just represents personality differences between you and I.
Tl;dr: I respect your opinion but I disagree.
Also, I do take issue with how you do seem to want to hamstring the nSL, which at a rough tally most of Marik is at least conditionally in favor of. It *is* something bigger than any one person, in spite of what the detractors claim, because it's not just some RP circle-jerk- its real-life purpose was to improve morale the player bases in hard-hit factions. And it has worked wonders at that. Look to the FRR for proof. They have told us as much directly. "We had all but given up" "The Star League has revitalized the FRR"
It's not about us. It's not about them. It's about taking a system that encourages isolationism and selfishness and turning it on its head to do something good for others simply because we are in a position to do it.
