Correct me if i am wrong... But to me it sounds like you feel that YOUR "exclusive" deal is being devalued over others being able to get it. That is... a very special kind of fish

Maybe they feel that they will get more people to bite with the next info dump... These are after all only designed to break past the "value" barrier in your mind.

No, it's PGI changing the deal because to no one's surprise, people aren't as willing to buy 8 day limited sale, sight unseen robots with new tech (MASC), that hasn't even been designed yet, as they once were.

What are you babbling about exactly? PGI set the deadline not me, therefore those of us that actually bought it have the RIGHT to our exclusive deal... Period...

I thought that pathetically small window was terrible.

It's PGI's prerogative (whether intentional or not) and frankly it's their game.

I just think they do a lot of bad business moves as it is already, so as much as I'd like to complain... I'm not responsible for the bad decisions they make. I choose to point out the errors. This isn't really one of them (after the fact).

SC, as it stands, is comparable to MWO. In a month or so, it'll be far ahead because of the merging of FPS and ship combat.

Changing a preorder grab deal is bad business, man. I don't understand how some of you can't understand this. You say it'll be available for X days, then when the time's up, because you didn't sell enough, you extend it by 18 days.

That's bad. No one's gonna trust you if you keep doing that - as the failure of wave 3 so far has shown.

You are correct that PGI should do a lot better when sticking to their guns. I just think this is not one of those instances where they should.

And, with all due respect, if $120 causes you to take "Pulse Laser and Machine Gun fire from the wife", I think you have (hopefully not so serious) problems that need to be addressed.

Especially with the apparent backward steps in client stability and hit reg the last couple of months..... and vacillating quirks (though I feel that angst is a little unreasonable, it is still there)

So in the future, whenever a bad idea is announced, you prefer they just stoically go forward with it? Because let's be honest, an 8 day pre-sale window was a bad idea. Extremely short sighted. I would be fine if those first 8 days got some other exclusive content or bonus, but to be upset that PGI actually reversed a bad idea? MEH. Can't follow you on this one.

I wouldn't know about client stability and etc, as I took a break between december 28th to february 17th, but I'll take your word for it.

Actually, when I was helping my boys and girls grind during the raven event, I had problems adjusing to how poor the game seemed compared to november and december.

Stability seems intermittent....some folks have it some don't. And then, it even comes and goes. SOme days, I CTD after every single match. Others I play all day, no issue, but I notice the CTDs are more constant during high traffic times.

Hitreg is downright frustrating, in part again, because of it's inconsistency.

I used to have 140~ ping to MWO's servers. It was 140~ since closed beta to december last year, and now I get anywhere from 150 to 300.

I bought Wave 3 because I noticed in each pack, there is at least one(in some cases more) standout, and it isn't just on the published stats.

Founders - Jenner, Hunchback
Phoenix - ShadowHawk, Thunderbolt
Sabre - Wolverine
Wave 1 - Kitfox, Stormcrow, MadCat, Direwolf (personal favorite: Summoner)
Wave 2 - Hellbringer
Resistance - Enforcer, and maybe another
Wave 3 - TBD

Though the Wave 1, 2 new variants release seems bogus(cheap to have spent $240+$120 to find I need to solo buy the other variants) I at least can get all the variants for the Clan Wave 3 if I order now.

I do agree with you. However, to placate those who did buy in that 8-day window (which includes yours truly), PGI could throw in another week or two of Premium Time.

Everyone who pre-brought gets the bonus mechs; those who pre-pre-bought get something on top of that.

oh, definitely, which is why I said I would be fine if they got some added content... paint, coffee mug, some premium time. I mean most have monthly rewards anyhow, so obviously the February Buyers should too, and I have no issue with them feeling they should get something for compensation for PGI changing their tune.

I'm just curious how many will buy the Arctic Cheetah or Shadow Cat A la Carte?

Always felt the a la carte option needed to scale ...because I should NOT be spending the same amount for a Cauldron Born as I do an Executioner, etc.

The right way to handle this would have been to give something extra to those of us who were good customers and bought Mechs sight unseen before the 28th.

For example, one Mech Module per tier of pack bought.

That way, everyone would be a winner, including those who can make use of the extended pre-order window.
