That's inaccurate. The Highlander AFTER the Jagermech was the first.

Still, it already had functioning Dynamic Geometry. This "Fix" was unwarranted.

Hm, my dual AC20 Jager was named T-Rex. Guess I'll have to rename them all T-Rex now.

A bit small cannons... like all you know :D

Like wang i like that they reduce the barrel size. On Jager they were reeeeaaaally extending out and actually being easy to hit and pop (especially gauss jagers). I don't see a problem here, they play out just the same, only arm hitboxes smaller that actually make it better for the Jagermech playstyle - peek only a bit and fire away. It's hard to hit a mech with only 1/6 showing, now even harder.

See the big picture people... not the... Haha big barrels

I hate to break it to y'all, but the Jagermech's arms are supposed to be short:

The only reason they gave the Jagermech long barrels is to make it more aesthetically like the 'mech it is replacing in usage, the Rifleman.

Now, skinny stick barrels are another matter.

And frankly, three or two of the Jagermech launcher boxes would be just what the Catapult series needs fit into it's arm hardpoints, depending on whether it's the -A1 or -C4. Heck, even the C1.

while not modular, i think the old ones looked better shape wise. didnt look like a simple box.

the only thing i like about the new hardpoints are the jagermechs lower energy and the phract torso (not the arms)

Not only did they make the Cataphracts' right arms ugly, they totally ****ed up the Tiger camo.
...Just like they did on the Centurion.
The Cataphract used to be one of my prettiest mechs. Now, they're so ugly I don't want to play them.

How can PGI make this right? UNDO.

Cataphract looks nice (Better then before) with its new hard points. Though it kinda feels some of the gun sizes are not right (Ac2s and 5s looks the exact same just one is slightly bigger..)

The poor jager tho.. I defiantly miss the old version of it (The cannons would actually recoil back when you shot..)

Could we just please get a tweak on this barrel sizes/lengths?. The energy hard points arnt as bad, but those barrels are just offensive.

At this point, if I were given the choice by PGI to keep the new, variable geometry 'mechs and textures, or return to the old, non-variable 'mechs and textures, I'd choose to revert to the old models, no question.

These are a downgrade.

TBH I somewhat like the changes on the Jager but I hoped they will fix the light grey empty arm weapon mounts that looked...unfinished like someone forgot to apply texture there. Unfortunately it's still visible from under smaller barrells like AC/2 or AC/5 (previously only MG and AC/2). I'm ok with the stubby weapons but please fix the hardpoint background color already!

you know i think the whole system could be greatly improved with better weapon models. the laser nubs for example look like the work of a teenage modder doing a 3rd rate mod for an ancient video game that nobody plays. the guns are just barrels, you could have more of the breach and slots for ejecting brass and maybe a cool looking flash suppressor and barrel shroud. lasers could have some tech decor, maybe have distinctive models between standard and pulse and different sizes to reflect small/medium/large lasers. ppcs flamers, and missile racks are mostly ok. ppcs and erppcs should be more distinct from eachother, perhaps longer barrels on the er version.

Why not? After they are done with the Dragon, the arm will be so tiny nobody will ever destroy my 2xAC5 :-)

Damn, son, you make a valid point. Most ammo for autocannons is cased in BT. WHERE ARE THE EJECTED SHELLS?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

PGI What have you done!? D:

Used to have this:

Now I have this:

What are those things supposed to be anyway? Machine guns used to be that long and these AC/5's don't even take up the full faceplate of the hardpoint anymore! D:

Now I finally understand why everyone has been complaining about the changes to the catapult and centurion. You guys went and did it to my central core build, my death star earning, 1.5k damage dealing beloved quad AC/5 Jager. -_-

Is this feeling of embarrassment and shyness what men with small penises have? Because now I understand that too.

I can't imagine how Alex feels right now.

Also it blows my mind that someone's paid to ruin these beautiful models.
