Introduction April 7 will bring another round of quirks for some Clan OmniPods. Four Mechs got a complete new pass while the four Mechs that got quirks last patch have had some of their quirks revised. Sets of 8 This patch introduces new quirks for keeping all 8 OmniPods for a chassis together. The current XP bonus has not been removed. Chart Legend
  • Cells with no background were not changed.
  • Cells that are cyan had their quirk value reduced or removed:
    • Bolded text means the value was reduced.
    • Strikethrough text means the value was removed.
  • Cells with a yellow background are either new or increased quirks.
New Quirks Mist Lynx Posted Image Kit Fox Posted Image Nova Posted Image Warhawk Posted Image Revised Quirks Adder Posted Image Ice Ferret The Ice Ferret had to lose some of the additional torso twist amount quirks it got in the last patch due to it being able to go beyond 180 degrees. This caused some Bad Things to happen. Posted Image Summoner Posted Image Gargoyle Posted Image

I'll take some time to look it over.

Thanks for the update.

Those images are supposed to click to zoom but uh...they didn't do that for some reason. I'll see if I can get it fixed.

Really tiny text, and for some reason we can't click the images to expand them. However, saving them does allow one to view them with full fidelity. Can we get a fix, please?

Overall, though, the changes do look like a nice improvement.

I'm not able to edit it to fix it. I'll see if I can get someone who can.

Also I didn't have a chance to make prettier spreadsheet coloring this time around. It'll be better the next time.

Does that 30% jam chance thing mean UACs can't jam or the base jam chance value is reduced by 30%? Otherwise these quirks belong in the trash

This isn't the urbanmech thread.

They mean that the current Jam Rate is multiplied by that number. So for the Inner Sphere UAC5 which has a base jam rate of 15% and a -30% Jam Rate quirk, you get:
  • 0.15 * (1 - 0.30) = 0.105 or 10.5%
This gets us close to the originally intended -5% quirk that was misapplied in the previous patch.

Briefly, the only thing that looks egregious from skimming it is the Mist Lynx's torso twist quirks.

MLX-Prime Side Torsos
+5% Torso Twist Speed (Torso Yaw Rate)
+1 Torso Twist Radius (Torso Yaw Amount)

MLX-C Side Torsos
+2.5% Torso Twist Speed (Torso Yaw Rate)
+3 Torso Twist Radius (Torso Yaw Amount)

I did say in the feedback that "+1" to torso twisting is... well, a joke.

At the very least, it should look more like this...

MLX-Prime Side Torsos
+5% Torso Twist Speed (Torso Yaw Rate)
+2 (or +2.5 or +3) Torso Twist Radius (Torso Yaw Amount)

MLX-C Side Torsos
+2.5% Torso Twist Speed (Torso Yaw Rate)
+4 (or +5 or +6) Torso Twist Radius (Torso Yaw Amount)

+1 is a non-starter for torso twist range improvements.

I only skimmed, but initial impression is "looking good" at least for Warhawk and Adder Primes. Adder ER PPC cooldown was wasted due to heat caps. This is an improvement.

Well damn the most fun UAC2 Adder build has been nerfed. Because 300 damage/game was pretty gamebreaking.

(13% or so jam chance now translates to around 9-10% instead of 8%)

The previous quirked rate was more like 12.35% so 9% will be an improvement.

I see a marked improvement from the last round of quirks.

thanks for the update, not sure why you guys are scared of giving the clans erppc velocity buffs on par with the IS, its just a QOL change. theres no reason that a mech like the warhawk should have 15% erppc velocity when IS mechs get 20-50%

I actually want to try the quad ER PPC build on the Warhawk now, might be pretty fun.
