LFG works for the most part
The Bad:
LFG doesn't stop looking for people despite launching - it needs to be fixed ASAP (manual stopping of the LFG option is best workaround).
All CW matches count as 4-mans, regardless of actual group size.
There's a bit too many impatient players... occasionally unwilling to wait for team adjustment for the 3/3/3/3 rule (because the leader can't drop, so it's not the group creator's fault for that).
Also, barely anyone is using the LFG for CW purposes... which is a truly scary issue.
Its because of perceptions, only time CW will ever get a population worth anything is for events like the one before Easter.
Why's this.
Even with an LFG feature it will still be a pug.
much as people should accept CW id going to be harder and learn to at least attempt team work they don't.
Of course most of the casual players that were prepared to learn under trying circumstances were runoff by the attitude of the leet boys, garanteeing that CW is going to be a nothing event, and ensuring MWO turns into an ass of sad esport matches

So, am I bitter about people who 'weren't there' earning the 'on the island' medal? No, because this is EXACTLY the kind of bullshizzle that makes me feel that us islanders are on an island to begin with. I am a proud islander. I don't need a medal to prove it, but I would like one. But if ANYONE can get the medal, then it's not fair to those of us who have actually earned it. Makes me sad.
HOWEVER. PGI has done a fantastic job with the game since dumping IGP, which I would say was the end of the 'on an island' era, and I'm glad for that. Customer service is excellent! The game really has improved and I have faith the game will keep improving. This is NOT the feeling we islanders had a year or so ago. So, great work! I'll stick around. And when PGI wants to row their dugout canoes to the island to visit, we'll be here with coconut milk and crab legs.
1st world problems??
I think anyone whom has been supporting this game for the past two years and longer (like all of us founders) whether we knew about the Island Comment or not earned our stripes. I suspect the bulk of the community is still made up of guys whom have been playing for over a year at least. If you have made it this long and spent real $$ on this game then you are more than welcome to join us on said Island.

If you are NOT in a unit ... just do some CW faction hopping and you will quickly acquire mech bays etc.

I tend to solo drop a lot, and these kind of experiences are largely why I do. In my humble, very unscientific subjective opinion, games are just better in the solo Q. Sure there are stomps there, too, but I would peg it at slightly less than half of my games in the solo Q end 12-3, 3-12 or worse. That's still a lot of bad games, but it's better than my experiences in the group Q.
We were glad you picked up with us but you definitely hit some of our more one-sided matches. Sorry bout that, we had some really good matches too.

It is unpurchasable and used to be extremely rare.
I think most will take MC so still going to be fairly rare.

These events just prove that they have no real clear goal and dont really know how to achieve it. cw just isn't worth my time.

This is why cw is such a pathetic failure. It's purely about exploiting rewards instead of being part of a loyal faction. None of it matters. Why I'm not gonna waste my time on it much anymore.

Maybe its a chasis size or chasis type issue, but I really want it in my "lazy day at the beach" LRM boat....
edit - its not so much the size, its that the bottom is cut off at normal magnification.
