It's bad. Really bad. Like, "I might need a refund" bad. This is kind of the breaking point for me, I think. Getting tired of paying money for something, and having it look half as good when actually delivered. Those legs are atrocious.
Really long and
really straight too. And the entire torso assembly should be shifted forward, as Tennex showed. Thing is, the torso is only set so far back because the legs are so straight... Bend the legs at a drastic angle, and moving the torso forward becomes an obvious necessity.
PGI Y U DO DIS???

The MW4 Cauldron Born wasn't that squat either, just wanted to point that out and it looked fine for the most part.
For comparison:
Except that
IS much more squat than this in-game model we see for MWO. It's more the legs' angle than it is their length, but nevertheless, the MWO Cauldron Born clearly towers over the MW4 one, assuming similar physical dimensions.

Everything above the waist? Solid gold. I mean come on - there isn't a single hardpoint on this thing below chin height.
Both arms' hardpoints are well below cockpit level in the game model, as opposed to the concept art. The angle at which the arm struts angle down from the torso junction has been significantly increased.

I'm not really familiar with the mech but I thought it's original design was the one where it was offset to the side with a single big intake and different looking arms/racks. Like the one Quicksilver posted. Am I mistaken?
Yes, you are. That design was unique to Mechwarrior 4, which had a lot of really shoddy re-designs for classic 'Mechs. That being said, their re-design of the Cauldron Born was alright.
