That said it could have also been installing this driver as well that seemed to help as it is no using this driver and not the MS "Twin USB Joystick"
http://www.saitake.c...loads/setup.rar
The file is safe as I have used it and it does come from a manufacturer.
Anyway, tried it on MWLL and it works Really good I will say MW:LL does take a while to figure out which buttons its calling which, and which invert it is calling which.. But once you spend time going in and out of games, shutting and opening the game.. you can get it mapped how you want it..

The Gamester came in two varieties.. Xbox and PS2, while they operate and look similar they are not interchangeable.
To get it to work in on a PC you need the PS2 version with a PS2 to PS3 convertor cable.
Then all you have to do is run the above executable file, and then let Windows 7 install its drivers.
Make sure you switch controller to Analog mode and it should work.
I may still get a Hydra.. as while similar in feel to the Gamester, it will have more features, buttons and support at least until it also becomes abandonware.

After reading this thread many, many times, I was determined to get the x52, but then I saw this:
http://www.frys.com/...%3AMAIN_RSLT_PG
Its only good until April 12, 2012, and I happen to have a Frys down the street...so I now own me a nice, new Logitech G940. I had a sudden panic attack when sitting at the dinner table, thinking of the times that I might just want a joystick and not deal with the pedals for torso-twisting, but I think I'll be ok, one way or another...
and the extra $100 I saved was amazing...

I got one of these off of ebay for like 20 bucks shipped, But I ordered a Saitek X45 flight control system they are going for about 20 bucks and about 40 shipped.
Have a Saitek X45 as well and used it originally for a flight sim. Love it so much I decided to re-install MW4. Loved it and can't wait to use it for MWO.

Loved my Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D. Was great for X-wing vs. Tie Fighter. But as Far as I know it's not supported by Vista or 7. But last time Ilooked was a few years ago. Even trying to install from CD didn't work.

I ended up snapping the plastic pegs holding the joystick to the base while playing MW2: Mercs. I fixed them with modeling glue and used a postage stamp to re-attach the Y axis sensor. The problem I have is that these things are too flimsy, I need something made out of steel. So I'll try keyboard and mouse first.

TrackIR is awesome! Just picked on up last month to use with my G940 in Rise of Flight and hopefully for MWO. There is a lot of speculation whether it will have native 6 axis support in MWO, but I do know that PGI has the SDK from for it and that at least one trade magazine reported TrackIR support just after GDC.
Still waiting for offical word from PGI, but I have high hopes for it in MWO. This is the control set-up I'm concidering:
Torso twist/elevation/depresion torso weapons: Joystick - right hand
Throttle/forward/reverse: Throttle - left hand
Steering/left/right: Peddles - feet
Jump Jets: left toes brake - left foot
Full Stop: Right toe brake - right foot
Free look arm weapons : TrackIR - heasdset
