Aleski, not sure if anyone else suggested it but turn v-sync off as it will always halve your fps.
Ok i will try to set it on off tonight.

A Sandisk ReadyCache has 32GB of persistent cache, providing SSD performance for less then $40 and no need to replace the HDD. I have 15sec loads into Windows, 20sec to load into the game and less than 30sec from CTD to back in game. I load into match waiting room with +85secs on the start timer. Totally worth it if data acquisition is the bottleneck.
I'm running an old HDD. But if other games run with high perf, i don't know if it's the problem.

I have not seen anyone mention this yet; how are you cooling your computer? I was having the same problem last year and it turned out that the cpu fan had busted. I got a new one and then the game ran fine. So it might be a good idea to check your fans on the computer.
I have check all of the hardware yesterday, the fans are all clean and they are all operating. The heat is OK in my computer. I will chech the temperature with a software tonight to see if it's a problem or not.

Delete (move somewhere else) the user.cfg until problem resolved.
Set all graphics settings low, antialiasing off etc.
This game will suffer worse than most if there is a heatsink issue since it is so CPU bottlenecked.
So how do you explain that other game have good performance? It's only MWO who have some problems...
Thanks to all of you!!
I will check things tonigth.
I'm planning to buy a new proc, a new mothercard (don't know if it's the right word in english), a SSD and something like 12-16gb of RAM in something like 6 months (time to save some money first).
I just want to find a solution to continue to play the game while i have this present configuration. I was a little messed up since i wasn't able to play the game while two years ago at the beginning, it was working well =(
Thank you for all your responses!

Hi Aleski,
there is some good advice here, but try two easy things:
1) run MWO on 32Bit mode.
I did run it on 32bit as 64bit got a huge drop in FPS for me until recently i added another 8GB of RAM... now with 16GB i only run on 64bit, cause it runs way better then the 32bit version.
For you: try 32bit!
2) Run on DX9.
Serioulsy try it, it should help a lot
Thank you very much, Ewigan
I try this tonight!
