Thats the way, out with the old players in with the new.

When you put it that way there is probably no point me coming back.

Who wants a free game account loaded with nice stuff ?

Honestly, that sounds nice and all, other then you leaving, but ummm yeah.... I have a hard time trying to keep up with my clan account and just this one, Modules, engines, clan mechs...grinding it all out that I don't know if I could handle a third account. :P

KIlo you and many others want to deny MWO is dying and even though hundreds of us old guard 20+ year MechWarrior players and fans tried to help PGI but they=(RUSS/PGI) still after 3 years don't understand what made the MechWarrior/BattleTech IP great.

Give me control for 6 months and I could make MWO game of the year or as fun and exciting as Mechwarrior2- MechWarrior4 was and just as popular with 500,000 + MechWarrior players.

70,000 people bought Founders packs.

Only 2,000 voted in the Founder's map update poll.

Do the math.

I forgot to vote.

I find myself playing less and less... only 3 games in the last week and a half. I fear this is gonna be the new trend of me, the painful grind and very stale game play is getting very old. It seems that not much is being done to address or fix either of those two issues.

Not all of them voted.

Heck, if someones wouldn't have posted the link to the poll I wouldn't even have voted myself. And I meet some founders today ingame who were shocked to learn there was a poll on the forum.

So what are you saying 68,000 founders didn't vote because they didn't know about it?

Or is it more likely that there might still be about 4000 founders still playing, that frequent the forums, and only half of those forgot/didn't know to vote?

Whichever way you cut it, it seems pretty clear that many of the people that funded this game at the start are rather disillusioned as to how it turned out, and, perhaps, aren't playing the game anymore.

I've been playing this game since December, so I'm kinda new.

Never had a problem finding a match. My average wait time is about a minute. That means that the MM can easily find 23 more people to play with me. This happens at any hour (i play when i can, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening, sometimes at night).
Have you guys ever played a dying game? Finding a match is a pain. Content comes out super slowly, even cash grabs, and the new items are very rarely seen in the hand of the players, as noone cares enough.

This game seems alive and kicking to me. It's only natural that players from 3 years ago moved on, but new people came in and are enjoying the game.

How many of those supposed 17k players were dual accounts playing to get the shinies on both accounts?
We know many many players run 2 accounts.

You mean the 40 point reward which was the high ticket item? Dude, I couldn't even get more than 25. I seriously doubt there were very many people who slogged through multiple accounts to get to the good rewards. That's like 5 straight 8 hour days of nothing but Community Warfare for just 2 accounts to get to 40.

You got to 25? I couldn't stand the queue long enough to get 10.

I was fighting for clans so there was very little time spent in the queue.

Pappy, if someone gave you control for 6 months, there wouldn't be a player population problem because there'd be no players at all. MW:LL was a dead mod long before they told to stop, so give it a rest already.

I play prime time NA, the only time my que time is longer than 45 seconds is when I pick something like a Heavy with the very high percentage, usually with my Lights wait time is under 30 seconds, Assaults can be anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute depending on how many are in use.

I see some of the same names occasionally, maybe twice in a single night, usually 1 drop right after the other, but that's about it, so I don't think this game is exactly hurting for players.

Part of the problem with loss of Founders is that they have older systems that don't run this game well, it ran like crap during the CB and they just don't see why PGI doesn't dumb down the game to run on old systems, after all they can still play MW4, why shouldn't MWO run?

People leave (and come back) for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it's just life. The lack of time to play a game when the mature-er members of the IP have lives and families and responsibilities that preclude them from playing. Sadly, nothing is clear. All our thinking is conjecture.

I will admit that I am growing a little bothered by CW. The under population is rough, but what's more bothersome is that there are new users and old who seem to actually push back against the team-play mindset of the game. I understand some people don't care to get into groups, but when CW is pretty much a "hard mode" (with solo drops being great mindless fun) and people want to run into it "just to have fun" they don't realize they are kind of stomping on the fun of people who put time and effort into being better.

Yeah, getting high or drunk and blowing stuff up is cool, but for some doing well, playing well, and getting good wins (or losses) are what's fun and it's a really rough ride when those two words collide.

And that's why I never set foot into CW. My only question is: Is that really a good thing?

[edit] A couple. Not many.

Kristov and Diasu I have developed MechWarrior Mods since MechWarrior 2 -MechWarrior4 ,14 mods for Starfleet command series and have run Multimillion dollar retail stores for 20 years also consulted on MechWarrior development for Fasa and Microsoft.

Trust me in ^ months MWO would be a totally different game one that was new player and user friendly and Social.Plus redesigning the core game into a more MechWarrior/Battletech game. I watched Mektek totally screw up MechWarrior4 for 10 years and now I have seen PGI screw up MWO for 3 more.

Diasu said =(How many games have you developed?) 2 full games and 20 mods from MechWarrior to COD and World Of Warcraft,StarTrek series games also.

Could you post links to your 2 full games and to your mods? I am especially interested in your MechWarrior Mods.

Your words about running multimillion retail stores and cooperating with FASA and Microsoft are very interesting. Would you care to provide us with some details?

Can't wait to get more details about your work, so I can compare Mektek, PGI and you.

I have not played in a very, very, very long time. I think it has been over 2 years. I remember my first match in closed beta. It was an OMG moment of pure fun. Then PGI changed all that as the net code got worse and the fun just dropped out the bottom. Did they ever reintroduce mech collision or is that still a WIP?

Maybe I will download it again and see if it is any better. MY hopes are low and my wallet is sealed until I see something different from PGI.

I am curious about PappySmurfs comments and would like to know which games he developed.
