The hyperbole is strong in this one. I know you have an Atlas, slap an AC20 on it. When you use Clan mechs, mount a couple of SSRM6s, if you are having an issue.

True, I do rightly fear the Dual Gauss Jager. But usually I try to NARC him first and he goes away.

Yea, I have been using AC/20 as my primary anti-Light weapon for some time, but AC/20 was nerfed to the ground recently - now has so low speed, that some Lights can overtake it's projectile. Unreliable leading angle and extreme projectile drop makes AC/20 pretty much useless at distances, more then 10m.

I'll give you an example. We all know, that almost all IS Lights are OP in comparison with Clan ones. So, PGI stated, that Clan can't have it's own unique features, like strong TBRs and SCRs. Then why IS should have it's own unique features, like strong Light 'Mechs?
Ok. We all know, that IS Light are OP. Right? Then, I think, in order to keep the balance fair and not hypocritical, every IS Light should get -20% movement speed and/or -20% armor negative quirks.
lol skipping right past the part where you arbitrarily label mechs as being OP, lets look at one, inescapable flaw in your rant. You say that not nerfing every other mech that has killed you, right here and now is hypocritical. Tell me, how long have the TW's and SC's been out considering we're just now seeing this nerf? Even pretending your statement had ground to stand on one need only look at the glacial speed of these nerfs to see that PGI couldn't be considered hypocritical since they just might not have gotten "roundtoit" yet.
Oh, and it sounds like you might need to practice with those clan lights. Remember kids, don't try to play baseball with a football.

Again, drop the hyperboles--it makes your post not worth taking seriously.
1. Lights have top speed of 170kph, AC20 shell has the speed of 650 meters per second. The Light mech can never overtake an AC20 shell.
2. One can compensate the speed and bullet drop of AC20 with enough practice. The following shot was fired at over 400 meters, for example, never mind your 10 meters.

To someone who wrote that ravens, firestarters and spiders are op: There is one op Raven (Huginn) and all the spiders are average at best. Some of them may have good quirks but that doesn't make them op. No one has ever thought "Oh no" in a fresh mech when they see a spider.
Concerning the timber wolf and stormcrow nerfs I only have to say that those mechs needed some nerfing. There are still mechs like the thunderbolt whose quirks need to be toned down.

I just want them to stop slapping bandaids on everything and finally admit the Heat System needs overhauled from the ground up and perfect convergence needs to be addressed.

1) Like in MMOs I have chosen "class", that suits me the most and I'm playing it - Heavy 'Mechs. I also sometimes buy and play Assaults, but only if I really like 'Mech itself. I don't want to be forced to buy Light and Medium 'Mechs, cuz I won't ever play them anyway.
2) Because most 'Mechs are ugly - I won't buy all 'Mechs indiscriminately just because "ZOMFG it's MechWarrior" or due to some stupid lore. I haven't bought Resistance and Wave II packs because almost all 'Mechs from this packs are terribly ugly. I've bought Jaguar, not because it's OP, but because it's beautiful 'Mech.
So stop this stupid overnerfs! I won't buy more new 'Mechs, just because you have overnerfed old ones, PGI!

Dude, you call Spiders and Raven OP, can't hit them inside 100m with an AC20, and you are trying to tell us YOU know what's best for this game? Seriously?
Dear Santa, I've asked for this time and time again, and I've been a GOOD BOY! and yet you keep not giving it to me. I ONLY want the ability to slap someone through the internet, here is yet ANOTHER example of why I should have this ability Santa, so come on!

Come July, Clanners will have their own ECM fast Light that can mount CERPPC/CLPL/CERLL etc... so chill the heck out. If you do not want Lights to carry big weapons, period, make a separate thread advocating sized-hardpoint.

Why would I want to have sized hardpoints, if we can simply apply 100500% negative quirks to most offending 'Mechs?

Actually NO.
The IS lights can fill more roles because they go faster but they are not better. I have mastered my Kitfox and with ECM and decent weapons it offers lots of good fire support for the heavy/assault mechs. Can it run in and out of the opposing team skirmishing? ... NO. Can it do the fire support and protect role. YES.
The 7 or 8 small pulse laser firestarter packs lots of firepower and is fast. It can jump in, skirmish, and jump out ... though against decent shots or with bad luck it will die pretty quick. However, it is a less effective fire support mech since it usually has to be in front to do lots of damage ... at which point it can be focused and killed.
I have mastered firestarters, jenners, spider, raven, and kit fox ... the kit fox and the better clan lights are comparable to the panther in terms of role that that they fill ... a bit slower with more firepower.
If you decided to nerf IS lights with a 20% movement speed reduction and a 20% armor reduction ... clan lights would then be strictly better than every IS light in every role ... they would be as fast or faster and have greater firepower and more armor. Such a change isn't even remotely comparable to the TBR/SCR nerf since those mechs started off arguably the best performing mechs in the game ... and from the general feedback I have read from folks who are using their TBR/SCR ... the nerfs have reduced their power level a bit but they are still extremely effective. (At least the folks who aren't screaming and crying about it).

LOL. Are you trying to use that pic to indicate that Raven's are OP? You have to be kidding me. All that image shows is that the raven's played as a TEAM. They grouped up, stayed together and focus fired down opponents. You do that in ANY mech and your effectiveness goes way up. It doesn't matter what mech or class ... though light mechs do the wolf pack thing, where they pull down the stragglers, extremely well.
However, I have seen the same thing done with any combination of fast lights working TOGETHER.
Teamwork always has been and always will be OP in this game. You have teamwork against a group without it and you usually win despite whatever mechs and fitting you are using.
