Is there any future where you can see captured Clan mechs being used in this game i am under the impression this is all primarily inner sphere mechs but what i give anything to see some of the Clan mechs make it into this game for use. maybe the Dire Wolf (daishi) i mean this is practically my fav mech in the universe i remember getting my first mechwarrior book and on the front cover it was a daishi and it was a clan jade falcon mech i fell in love with the series from that point on. back to the story at hand what about maybe having clan mechs as rewards for contests or something like that?

No definite word on what will happen next year. Salvage is out so I imagine capturing mechs is out as well. My guess is it'll have to do with your faction's ability to acquire mechs from the clans through conflict, your rank in said faction and cash on hand. Heres to guessing.

I hope they decide to add the Shadow Cat (Mk i or mk ii) to the game... It is hands down my favorite mech.

Mechs are supposed to be introduced on the normal timeline. Shadowcat is a bit far away: Battle of Luthien to be exact.

No? It is an excellent all around Mech, but it is not "bar none the best mech in the game period." It's quick, but it's no Fire Moth. It's got a lot of pod space, but it's no Dire Wolf.

It is an excelelnt and very stlyish Mech, but it is not "The best mech ever, period."

EDIT: Misinformation/ignorance deleted. ::blush::

Clan mechs will be in later, not at the beginning. I expect them to be the "Premier" mechs for the game, probably expensive to get and expensive to maintain, but nasty.

OP: The Clans are advancing as we speak. The current year in MW:O is 3049 and chances are that your precious has already seen some action in the Periphery. And kicked some serious 4$$ of course, what else .^^

Soooo, we're just chillin until they come a little closer and if things run smooth we might get to play them before the showdown on Tukayyid.
We gonna be busy collecting Atlas heads before you know it :)

The dire wolf was a walking death machine some of them could leterally take down medium mechs with one shot there amazing and probably will be kept very very far away from us pilots

Lol atlas heads...

Aslo if they will be introduced in proper canon timeline then the first Clan mech seen by a IS pilot was a Madcat so it should be the first out.

IMO. but if they do that then will they automatically(at that point) allow all merc factions to switch to actual Clans and get all approprite clan tech for the timeline?

That is the question for me.

I always loved the 9 UAC2 load out on the Daishii zero heat and a wicked fast reload and with 9 of them with an exceptional range you could do nice damage

For the 8 millionth time. The clan invasion is a year away. There may be clan 'mechs available after that time. The devs haven't even said how the clan invasion will be handled. (Will people have the option of switching allegiance to a clan and fighting for them with access to clan tech? Will the clans be scary OP bots/NPCs that we have to fight?) Also, the people most likely to get access to captured clan tech will be the DCMS, the Free Worlds League, the FedCom guys (this is both the House Steiner and Davion, the actual space invaded is what was formerly the Lyran Alliance) and mercenaries fighting on behalf of one of those houses.
