The important question though:
Is that arcade cabinet running M.U.G.E.N. with custom Mechwarrior Mods????

Really? There was no top secret stuff ... I want the juicy secrets like the photos, the videos, the mechs, the internals, THE GUTS?!!!
That ... well meh. Not to say it didn't look more relaxed but how about more comfortable chairs like Leterman Show.
See the chairs more comfortable

Then my basic sentiment still stands. What was the point of this vlog?
Each of the medium serve a different propose.
Weekend update vlog = current content
Town Hall = future content
Dev vlog = the human behind the company
Pick one that interest you.

You'd think it would be a simple choice. Right?

This is completely different from previous Dev Vlogs, and ultimately a lot less informative.
I've got no problem with them making trivial things like this. If other people like them, whatever. But don't give it the exact same moniker as previous installments that were laden with information about future content and expect people not to feel a bit underwhelmed when it's completely different. Hell, we didn't even get any in progress shots of the Wave III models they're supposedly working on. A waste of 15 minutes.
EDIT: Okay, there was a shot of the inside of the Cauldron Born's cockpit if I remember correctly.
But remember what they did for the King Crab? That was hype. They could have easily done that again.

A little bit more:
- Video: I think 15 minutes is a bit too long. Make it between 5-8 minutes. I think not everyone is willing to see the full video and skip things. It should be short, but pretty comfy and personality.
- Tips for Tina: You can make a piece of paper with questions and perhaps a summary. I don't know if you are a bit camera shy, the first ones are the hardest ones. It is not uncommon that people use papers to read from. It will keep the discussion on easier. You can look on it. (Not sure jf that white paper was one)
- Perhaps let the devs a small hint or tips to a upcoming event, pack or whatever. Just to keep others a little interested on upcoming content.
- Discuss Community things. What can we do? What do they expect from us? What do they like to see from the Community?
What's going on the Community and how does the dev think about that?
- Make a special gift shop where people can order things as seen in the vlogs! Mugs, t-shirts, artwork, etc.
- Make a sort of puzzle in vlogs. Show in one vlog a piece of a cockpit, te other vlog show a piece of a sidetorso or whatever so people can guess 'Hey, cool what kind of mech would be that?'
The video needs to scream: "Come watch this!"

It was like just a bunch of people chatting casually in a pantry setting.... It wasn't the least bit informative AT ALL!

Seriously, I didn't think this needed explaining.
We have Weekend updates for what's going on.
We have Townhall meetings for what's going to happen.
Now we have Dev Vlogs back, and this time it's about Who's Doing what.
It really isn't complicated to find one of those that fulfills your needs, and watch it, instead of harping on the fact that we're getting more communication from PGI, and it's more personal. Which is a good thing.

It would be too taxing on the client. Already answered a long time ago. Not worth the processing power, and the frame drop.

And it STILL wasn't anything worth listening to! It was so poorly done that I zoned out without even realising. And I betcha others feel the same way.
So, I'll have my opinion on the subject, and that would be that.

I guess for the most part its an issue over semantics. Dev Vlog in my mind = what was seen in the last 10 videos.
It's hard for me to see the importance of watching a video of three people struggle to form complete sentences for 15 minutes and act like they'd much rather be somewhere else, but if that's your slice of cake go ahead and eat it. I'm not stopping you.

I think the format they are trying to achieve with these is fine, they just need...(sorry Tina)...a more confident interviewer.
I'd suggest plunking down the Cash to send Tina to a college for some journalism courses( re interviewing), getting a third lapel mic and a fixed desktop mic(omni & Cardioid).
Despite those things, it is good to see the return of the vLogs, and the direction you seem to be taking with them. And good luck Tina, with a little practice, I'm sure you could become the next Barbra Walters.
also: How tiny is Tina?

Instead I screamed "Why did I bother watching that?!"
Look, all information is good and appreciated. I was left feeling troubled though that our Community Manager apparently knows so little about Mechs and the lore (eg "if you could be a Mech", "Mech is cute", "how often do you play Mechwarriors?") and is so shy ... because it makes me question how well she can perform her important role of representing the community's issues to management and the developers.
Tina, please... I lead marketing for a Fortune 500 Company, and the advice I would give you is the same as what I give my own team. You need to immerse yourself in the product you're representing, know more about it, how it works, why people buy it, and what your customers want from it, than any other person. Fortunately for you there are decades of material easily available for you to dive into.
And be more self confident. You earned a cool and important job. So look us in the eye, speak loudly and confidently to us and the devs. Leave the cute/shy/girly thing behind and own the interview.
