Buy anything in gift store: We all know someone without a credit card that can't buy mech bays and other very basic items. Don't want to gift MC to squander but specific items. Not just 'mechs. My grandson has been playing a while and is stuck with four 'mechs and I do not want to do commerce on his account.

Map selection grouping: Only put hot maps up for vote. Only put cold maps up for vote. Etc. That would mean sometimes less than 4 choices, but that's ok. Heat maps never get picked. If you see votes, it is a false number because, as I do and I believer others, are only voting on them to increase vote counter.

Stop sneaky vote increase: Which brings me to elaborate on the above comment. Increase vote counter when we don't get our chosen map and decrease by one vote when we don't vote. If I want more votes, I just vote for hot map and then not vote when there is no hot map. It totally skews the process and makes you think that some actually want hot maps when in actuality, personally I only battle on one once or twice a week.

Ability to change variant before drop: In real war it would be a cruel cluster f*** if we were sent to battle on a volcanic planet with overheating equipment. Allow us to change variant, thereby keeping the matchmaking valid, to have a more fair battle. The lucky ballistic variant that drops has definite advantage. It would be great for everyone to blast away with ballistics without shutting down as often and becoming a sitting duck. In addition to people actually choosing a hot map to play it. Less frustrating and more fun all around.

Actually, some of us choose hot maps on purpose for reasons other than upping vote multipliers. If I'm in a mech that relies heavily on SRMs, MGs, AC 5s or Gauss I WANT the hot maps so that I can cruise along all match and gank all the opponents that overheat themselves. You just have to be in the right mech for the map. Those same mechs lose an advantage in cold maps. Now if I'm in a laser vomit or PPC mech then those hot maps can go bite themselves.

Just because YOU don't even genuinely vote for something, don't assume that applies to everyone.

On the subject of map voting:

I think PGI should just hide the vote multiplier. Ever since they made it so that you can no longer change your vote, they should just not display the vote multiplier so unless you're actually keeping track of your multiplier yourself you don't know what it is. A lot fewer people voting for maps just to boost their multiplier, then.

As far as game mode goes, that should be selectable like it was before voting was implemented.

Bring back the Old maps and re-insert them into the Map Que! We need more variety! It's great that you are improving the maps, but you certainly didn't have to remove the old maps! WTH! Many miss the Old Frozen City! I also miss the Cave in I think the Old Forest colony.

More Maps, more selection of maps.

Maps suggestions/ideas:

A full on City Map (New York style), perhaps with underground huge subway tunnels
A Mining Network, Think Government underground bases
Jungle map, Lots of foliage... floating mountains like Avatar... if it's not trademarked
Islands, Beach, palm trees and some cliff sides but lots of water, make 3rd person camera a necessity while submerged!
More Alien terrain maps.

Would be great if all maps had the varying weather affects and Time cycles. Can't be sunshine everyday... where's the darkest of nights and Heavy Thunderstorm and random lightning strikes? What about hurricane weather, blizzard white outs and dust storms... give more purpose for the Night and heat vision!

Lastly, more destructible terrain! would be awesome to be able to take out structural columns to a bridge or platform to have it collapse and crush enemies. Take out enough of a large tree to make it topple over to make for a blockade, etc.

I think the maps progressing through the day/night cycle during a match is kind of dumb. The days only last 15 minutes in MWO? Stupid. Don't get me wrong, I like the whole day/night cycle thing. I just think the maps should randomly start at a certain time of day, and remain that way throughout the match. That would make more variety even with the same maps. Some matches on (for example) frozen city, would be night matches and some would be day matches, some would be twilight matches, etc.

As far as map ideas goes: How about an all tunnels map? LRMS would be entirely useless. A space station map where you could go in or out of the station itself? Outside the station could have really low gravity. An underwater map, as mentioned above, is a really good idea. But don't have the 3rd person drone be a necessity. Just get rid of that stupid **** altogether.

Bring into the game the old armour types from previous MW games. Reflective and explosive reactive armour will go along way to removing the meta and make for more interesting builds as reflective armour will reduce the effectiveness of Laser vomit and explosive reactive vs dakka and lrm. This armour would come at the cost of more C-bills and extra weight (alongside the slot cost similar to FF) allowing people to make a more tanky but less offensive mech and also making meta play a thing of the past (or at least helping to push game away from current meta) as you will have to choose your targets carefully if you are running builds based on single damage types for maximum efficiency.

So, I have an idea to make Omni's more desirable! The point of the Omnimechs are that they can be quickly repaired and loadouts changed for a given mission. So, for any kind of match, choose a 'Mech but not the variant. PUG games, after you find out how the vote went, then you can choose your loadout. HPG Manifold? I get to choose my brawler. Hot map? Let me get my cooler running variant. Frozen city? ERLL Sniper time!

If we cannot have universal hardpoints, which is supposed to be the key point...

I really think this may ease the issues many have with the Omnis NOT being the cutting edge of Mech development. I mean, I expected there would be a added cost to modify Mechs, or like World of Tanks where the cost of repair/ rearm comes in, and that these costs would be reduced in Omnis, while they would be more costly initially, in the long run they would be the biggest C-bill earners... at least that is how my gaming group plays tabletop campaigns.

Totally agree with the more set day/night cycle. On the point of the Tunnels and LRMs, kind of... The Tunnels would be bored out pretty high, so missiles would be less effective only having a lower arc path and not the 1000m range they enjoy on every open map. Besides, plenty of maps cater to the missile boats, why not have more maps cater to the Brawlers... plus, brawlers are way more fun!Posted Image

  • PvE (Whether it be in a FW or a SP mode, it makes no difference to me)
  • The rest of the Homeworld Clan Decals
  • A variety of game modes for FW and Scouting (because they are both boring and stale)
  • As a reward to Unit Leaders who actually claim unit tags on planets, this (I know PGI is incapable of doing this, but a man has to dream right?).:

They don't have to have high ceilings. The ceiling of the tunnels could be just a little more than high enough for an Atlas to walk. Jump jets and LRMs entirely useless. All close quarters and dodging around corners. It would be very different from any other map.

Make it pay to actually follow the objectives. Currently, no matter what game mode, XP/Matchscore and C-Bills are awarded as if Skrimish is the only game mode. For example: Play Assault ignore the objectives, but deal 800 Damage, losing the match -> Still get 400+ Matchscore, get a little pump in PSR and a Ton of C-Bill as well. OTOH, capture the enemy base in Assault alone, without a single shot fired and you get a few pennies and a matchscore just so low your PSR doesn't drop yet, or as the The Unstoppable Puggernaut says it:

I thoroughly enjoyed all the previous versions of MW4, imo, there is something about MWO that just isn't right, maybe it's the constant barrage of trying to get money out of me. People don't like that. You know, ****** little things, like, I have to pay real money to convert mech xp into gxp for mechs that I paid $40 on top of the $80 I paid initially for the game which is now free to play.

Knowing what map is next so that I can choose the appropriate mech. While you're at it go ahead and create some new maps the same 5 maps everyday is getting stale. Most maps from Vengeance were pretty good, you can copy those.

Being able to play while waiting for a CW group to form. If its going to take so long, have a sand box or something. You know WOW does that. Make it an attrition arena or something, should be pretty easy for uber programmers.

IMO CW is a failure. You should realize this and make drastic changes. I don't know why you folks can't take the damn hint, BT3025 was freaking awesome, take some notes and grow. It could be awesome, if you can be awesome.

Your first screw up was making it first person.(I will take this to my grave) All the other wildly successful releasess allowed 3rd person. It makes everyone better players, even if they dont like it. They got rich and didn't even have to nickel and dime their customers, they just came out with expansion packs and unlimited maps (cycle) and it was enough. A sub and expansion charges should net you plenty of money.

Your second screw up was line of site radar. MW4 showed all the enemies on the map (1000m) and it was wildly success fool. Third person is not life like but somehow line of sight radar is, never got that. How do I know my decals are cool if I can't see what others see? You want to be strategic use radar and know where your enemy is. Disk space is cheap make larger maps, it worked great in MW4.

On a positive note, I like the mechanics and graphics. I like the look of the maps and the design of the mechs. Out of all the variants there is usually one that is really good, or what I like. My style. The UI is decent, other than the drop down boxes not staying rolled up and I have to close them every time I enter the home screen.

I would love more then anything to see mech legs touch the ground. You know, when you are on a hill and you walk sideways and one leg hits the ground higher then the other?. MW4 had this and that game is almost as old as me.

For players with terrible machines, I was wondering if maybe we would have the option to disable decals. It would makes my game load sooner, and give me better FPS. I've been experiencing terrible lag ever since they added decals making the game almost unplayable. Thank you.
