1. Stock mechs mode. Harebrained did it in Battletech and it’s fantastic, most of the online matches are in stock mode.
2. Dynamic weather.
3. Dynamic change of time on all maps,
4. You returned classic Forest colony, so please return classic Terra Therma. The old one was not the best but new is just terrible.
5. Make Clans great again!

Optional ways to return coupled engines. Also some ideas to more fully utilize the nature of the tech tree and the bonus system(s).

There is a lot more that could be done with them.

You could also have coupling at different prices for different parts of the mech like torso/yaw/pitch/etc.

Makes some of the other suggestions more complicated though like taking away tech tree points for coupling. Maybe take away less per with the same total. Or from specific trees and x total based on which coupling. Depends on the desired end result.

ADD VR-Support. I would pay for a VR DLC if i am able to play with non VR players. Let me stick aiming to my vr view to be able to shoot at what i am looking at. Aiming with hotas is a mess compared to Mouse.

I'm not sure of the technical implications of this request and will even admit I'm really only thinking about my game when I ask for this lol, but, if at all possible please implement absolute positioning for joysticks, as in if I move my joystick all the way to the right than my torso is all the way to the right and when I center the stick the torso centers.

I currently use 1 joystick in my left hand with the y-axis as throttle and the x-axis to turn my legs, and a mouse in my right hand for torso/aim, Given that the current thinking is to improve the overall fun of the game, for myself, this would accomplish that goal if I could use 2 joysticks in this game properly... I can't speak for anyone else but yeah I'd be having WAY more fun!

I think it would be really cool to see a new map that is a rework of the HPG network map, but post battle. Where the HPG has been wrecked and fallen apart. and holes are blasted through things.

I'd like to see a cbill bonus for using ppcs in the way of a bonus for disabling ecm. Similar to how you can get bonuses sometimes for flanking. So if you disable ecm through a ppc for at least 5 seconds (maybe other means like narc and tag could work), you get a cbill bonus. Should be active when you shoot it though for the bonus to count.

I didn't read 67 pages of suggestions so I apologize if this has already been suggested. I like the game but I have a few quality of life suggestions.

1. Tool tips in the mechlab and in general. I hate learning through trial and error about things like ghost heat, or that xl engines will kill you if you lose side torso, or a myriad of other little details that make a big difference.

2. The ability to sort and filter the mech store. I should be able to see for example only omni mechs, or only IS mechs under 50 tons, or only clan heavy mechs.

3. Make it easier to tell clan from IS and Omni from non Omni. I hate that I have to take a mech from the store into the mechlab to see if it is Omni, or I have to look at the loadout and search for clan weapons. This should be easier.

4. I know, and i want to be real clear on this, I know that I can not save a mechlab setup for a mech I am browsing in the store or a is a trial mech. Pleas put a "do not show me this" check box on that warning.

5. UI items that I can not interact with. either make them mean something, or get rid of them. an Example is the Philpot tier rating. I don't know what that means, I don't know what the progress bar corelates to. Nothing happens when I click on it. I don't know how to move the bar one way or another. It is just there silently judging me.

6. If cosmetics were cheaper I would buy more of them. When we do the math on colors camo patterns, bolt-ons and decals it works out to b e a ridiculous amount of money. I like this game and I want to support it with my wallet, but I can't justify spending the kind of money it costs just to paint my mech.

7. Color packs, why not sell groups of colors? Primary color pack, dark color pack, cool blue color pack, whatever. see above, I can't sink that kind of real world dollars into a single color.

Bottom line is more info, more info, more info. Stop making me guess. I want to improve as a player and be a good contributing member of my team, but I have to get all my info from youtube videos and forums. This lack of information sets the bar very high for new incoming players and drives many new players off.

Again sorry if these are a lot of repeated requests and thanks for taking the time to consider my suggestions.

Agree with most.. well said. I HIGHLY suggest that you find and join an established unit.. your rate of progress and learning in the game will increase exponentially. If you have any questions about the game feel free to pm me here..

When you consider that they give out colours during events (see current event) and even MC that you can spend on colours (did you see the current stocking stuffer event?) and that a color can be used across theoretically hundreds of mechs, the price really isn't that outrageous. But ya there should be more sales.. at least for the more unpopular colours. I like your colour-pack sales idea.

As far as camo's go.. not sure if you're aware but you can go with the one-shot camo's that apply to one mech at a time (hit the drop down above the camo list) .. it's a MUCH cheaper way to go but beware that if you ever decide to change out the camo, you lose it forever.

You can minimize the tier bar out of your view.. same with unit info (if you're in a unit). But PGI has to make it so they REMAIN minimized otherwise it's a useless feature.. atm it keep's defaulting to viewable after a match.

Something I would add to your list is the ability to view within the UI, each mechs built-in quirks, WITHOUT having to go to the store.

Sirs;

Please figure out a way to change this LRM scourge that is happening in Quick Play. It is absolutely ridiculous and those doing it are succeeding in raising their tier levels by doing it. Your formula for this HAS GOT TO ADJUST for those that go in and fight and in many cases brawl while the panty waists hang back, NOT SHARING ARMOUR, and picking off the kills, components, etc. off of the mechs the real players have loosened the screws on. Heck, we have to target for them, protect them and in the end we are screwed, but they get Cbills, and tier advancement. It is garbage, not to mention it really screws up the pugging matches and ultimately the enjoyment for the rest of the players. Brawling and those fighting within 700 or so meters should get higher bonuses and any missle boats outside of that should get less damage, less Cbills and less tier advancement. Please nerf. quirk, heck I don't care but this really is starting to suck again like it did several years ago.

newish player,about 2 months in, so i type this in the understanding that i don't know it all, and i may be just dull.
loved the mech games from mech 2 on, without that background i would have been totally stumped in most, if not all of this game. even the training run throu the city went wrong as i did'nt know you had to stamp on the direction arrows!
played a week or so and then got frustrated with solaris city, lost in the canyon network/hy rift and was shot to bits by a flea etc (for what seemed the 100th time)that i could not target in a heavy. had great fun in some games then game stopped due to getting/losing resource or base getting capped, bad ,can't run back to base in an assault and i'd only be circle strafed to death by a light if i did....so i did'nt play for about 3 weeks, did'nt intend to come back but with lockdown the only other option was to talk to the girlfriend, so i came back- and had the same issues!
on the plus side i've found you players good with only one guy shouting at me in a game (he was shot out and did'nt like me"running away" (it's called turning a flank you p***** .good job i don't have a mic, i'd have been banned...) never seen any cheating or bots,cool. my (newbee) wishlist..
better tutorial, inc how to use the mechbay and the skilltree.
the option to select more than just 3 maps and 2 modes in quickplay.(so i don't get stuck in solaris so much or timed out)
no ghost heat.
more hardpoints ,so i can run 8 mg's if i like,and with all the weapon location restrictions it's a jigsaw of hassle.
better match balancing for even spread of good/new players.
if you've got this far, thx for reading ....

If your in a heavy or assault.. stick with your team or a light will gank you.. that means no flanking on your own. Until you get the lay of the land and know how each map is played, I suggest you play lights or mediums that have more speed and so are more forgiving if you go out of position.

Still wish for Joystick support at least as good as MW5's.

Coming back to MWO after months of MW5's decent joystick play is very disheartening. I hate keyboard and mouse piloting.

nerf lrms.. to much lrms in the game since the buff.. i mean really even light got lrms now even if they can only fit 1 lrm5 .. give ppc a ability to disrupt targeting systems kinda like a 5sec debuff. and randomly generated critical systems errors/failures once a mech falls below 40% or 30% health

I would like to see some scout mechs get some love!!

Scouting is the most thankless job in MWO, and the least rewarded. But it is such an important role in combat and in the game!!

Modes that reward scouting more! Add locations on the maps that rewards mechs for scouting out the battlefield, that can only be accessed by light mechs/scouts, or mechs with firepower below a certain level. Bonuses for being stealthy and spotting for your team.

Ok. Hear me out. This... Might sound mental...

Core concept: most non CW matches are Rotato Potato till one Blob is out blobbed.

It doesn't offer much for scouting and really, anything but blob and shoot (I say this as an adherent of an SRM Shadowcat that likes to get all up in your butt and chew through armour like it's a buffet).

But, CW is intimidating for some and a time investment I sadly can rarely even consider (so, excuse the conceit, but I'm gonna assume I'm not alone in that).

So the jist I'm pointing at is "asymmetric, strategic mission based play" but PvP.


Now to get weird.


I figure many will have tried Rainbow Six Siege. It's good. It's different. I know, I know. That would be asking a lot.

But. Maybe there is a path to something of that flavour, without all the bells and whistles.

Could a map be longer, maybe less wide, offering a few specific channels down which play would occur. But which, over commitment to, could leave a team over extended. Nudging the utility of scouts.

Like Siege, one team is trying to do something different to the other. Outright destruction of your opponent is an option, but not a requirement for success. Unless you're a defender perhaps. I know we have match types for this, but the blob always consumes all.

I'd even suggest such a mode be less than 12v12 (I know, diluting buckets). But, for me, the blobs can grow stale, and Mechwarrior is at its best when you're immersed in a set piece, ala campaigns of past games. I feel like, that could be doable in PvP. If we give people room to think outside of the blob.

Or maybe I'm just being wildly unrealistic. I don't know. I feel like it's doable without starting fresh.

When team landing at 4 squads and one squad is far away of all team, and of course in this squad will be 3 lights(or equal fast meds)and one slow assault and of course those 3 fast mechs leave him behind to enemy lights, which of course kill one single assault, because team leave him and because in a deep future giant robot sensors cant see a thing in a meter behind it. So, this is not a something new, i got killed that way several times, and im sure not only me. Last time this happened maybe month ago. Not really big problem, but this is ridiculous, and looks like devs dont play their game. Or it was made in purpose ? Devs need explanation of this situation? Everyone knows, there is very slow assaults in the game, and you must deal with it, cause maximum speed of some mechs in a game is 50-55km/h and this speed cant be exceeded(hello to atlas, annihilator ,fafnir). So, its simple - make adequate spawn points, make normal distance between squads , and make mechs spawn looking correct direction(some mechs spawns with their backs to the right direction and need to turn around ,often when its a annoying landing sequence with dropships).[/color]

Assuming there is actually a dev reading these posts.. here's my 2cents

Since PPC's can knock out stealth and ecm because of the EMP effect of the PPC, then have it also knock out missile target locks. This will help when it comes to countering Streak boats... and lrm boats in the back can also lose target locks during their massive barrages.

I see it as a good counter to these builds. The other option would be to make ECM availible to all the chassis and I still think Stealth mechs are an abomination and should be eradicated from the code!!
