The LRM mix model (wait till SRMs are put on it)
And the technotastic model (DD) with it's UAC5s and MPLs.
Magical.
Least the dual guass model won't be released until 3054. Though we might see a time skip after the clan invasions (if they ever come).
We'll see what happens.

no need to wait for the stock model with dual gauss, any of the three promised Jager variants can easily load a pair of gauss rifles

Yep. One of the first things people looked at was "Hey, this has a K2's weight and plenty of room for twin Gauss."
In a sense, it's also going to feel pretty comfortable to 'Phract pilots, since the arm-mount ballistics and torso energy weapons let you build along similar (if more lightly armed) lines.

Why should player change from Catapult to Jagermech? Both mechs have nearly the same hardpoints (as it seems), if you compare the Jagermech to the CPLT-K2. Both can snipe due to their upper mounted weapons. Both weight the same.
What makes the Jagermech "unique"?
Looks nice anyway...

So we will see exact one variant of the Jagermech. The A20 variant...
A waste of developing time I guess.

Answer to you both:
JM6-A, 2 ballistic, 2 missile, and 2 energy hardpoints.
That's what I want.
and you don't get this as a Catapult.

Really wish it would get 4x Missile hardpoints. With a 15-tube launcher hanging off in the breeze collecting incoming fire, it sucks to use a single SRM in it for it's graphical size.

The ONLY upside I can see is the higher mount to the arm hardpoints means it will shoot over hills that a 'phract will shoot into the side of. But if the tradeoff is taking less firepower, yeah, I don't think I'll bother with it.
Although it does sport missile hardpoints that most 'phracts don't.
