I recall having stable and satisfying pings around 130 several months back. Nowadays, 190 is common place, and I've seen lows of 160. Also, my pings to NA and EU have seen about a +10 to 15ms increase. Something is going on. I hope this helps toward better routing:

This is as bad as my ping to the US servers. On a good day, which are fewer and fewer, I get 160-170ms.

I blame the system architecture changes made in the #Fraudband network.

OC server pings from Wellington NZ are averaging 190, with lows of 170 and highs of 260. NA servers are averaging 220 but the range isn't as great: 200-250. It appears that link is better regulated.

Getting lots of "disconnects from server" when loading into a game. Happening every other game now, never happened at all in the past. Seems to have been getting worse over the last month or so.

Also having issues logging in as well on occasion. Seems to think the servers are down when they clearly aren't. 2 or 3 goes usually gets me in.

Don't know if it is a timeout issue due to crappy Aussie internet but it's still annoying.

Have raised a support ticket - am getting 400ms ping and high packet loss to Oceanic. About a month ago was getting ~180 ms and good stability. For two weeks. Then back to crap. Dunno what it is with the server location but am pretty much forced to play NA because of how bad it is.

Not sure what this adds to the discussion, other than confirming that Oceanic is offline for me as well (in Vietnam), but the Asia-America gateway cable was under maintenance this week. This cable connects a good portion of Asia-Pacific region to the rest of the world. The maintenance was scheduled to end today, but perhaps there are still some issues with connections that they're sorting out.

Oceanic appears down to me... again. Other servers are always unstable, so yet another day I can't play enjoyably.

I get that quite often (not being able to logged in at all) usually at night around 8pm-10pm

Australia has quite a few lines to Singapore. So ... cannot be that the lines are down.

For EasyPickings Screenshot the path issue happens will still in Australia.

So... complain to your ISPs?

Yeah, I have noticed for some time now that most of the servers I have played on have either been the N. America server or the European server, but I have occasionally had the pleasure on my Oceanic server (being Australian myself) and Oceanic server means, for me, that my ping goes down from 250+ to just under 120 (not as good in the grand scheme of things, but it makes a good deal of difference when I do play on the Oceanic server...

I understand that the majority of players are from America and Europe, but I would like the Oceanic server to be selected and used a lot more, because those of us players from Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand (et cetera) contribute a lot more to the team when on our home server.

Melbournian here. When I joined MWO last Aug, Oceanic was <200 pin. One day, it jumped to EU level and stayed there for almost a year now. These days I play on NA server and sits between 250-300 pin. Distance and population screw us once more.

Yeah, the problem we have is that not enough people from the Oceanic regions play, so when I get on a team filled with Aussies, I'm chuffed but after the game is ver, it's back to the boring grind (literally) of high ping N. America and European servers.
