Hmm Every disconnect I suffer are server crashes, hits suddenly for no reason, fail to register, all the other mechs do a micheal jackson moon walk, and boom on oceanic. Its now at a rate of 33% from last night.

This is why, when you operate a game 24/7 you need support/techs that work more than M-F 9-5. Problems occur outside of a standard work week, PGI needs 24/7 support staff if it wants to offer (and grow) a 24/7 game (specially when it runs most events outside of the typical M-F 9-5 work week).

^THIS

It has always confused me that a game company, especially one that runs events on most weekends, would not have staff on during nights or weekends...I mean, when you specialize in running a game, wouldn't you think you'd want staff on during the heaviest play times? At least customer support staff?

Running an online game and community is simply not a 9-5 job, it makes zero sense that anyone would attempt to treat it as such. If it's a money issue, just have some guy who's job is normally on the weekdays switch his shift to nights/weekends, boom, no extra employees, just intelligent management of existing resources...

Not trying to be a **** about it...but man, it's a really crazy concept that they run things the way they do...makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, by any logic.

As it is, they're constantly doing damage control after bad weekends like this, rather than fixing problems as they come up, and mitigating some of the ill will and poor customer experience. Why would a company willingly put itself in that position?

I understand that there are technical difficulties far beyond my understanding as to why theses disconnects occur. However, I have a limited window of time to participate in MWO and if this is to continue then perhaps my window of time will be allocated elsewhere.

Personally, I have have 5 DC’s in a probably 25 games.

Today's run on Oceanic: 1 went well, 1 crashed.

Normally, Ping is around 10 ms for Europe, 100 ms NA and just above 250 ms for Oceanic, which I still consider ok-ish playable.
But the total disco's alongside with the forced 15 minute break from playing is a no-go for me, so I will de-select Oceanic until they are fixed.

This looks like a bad choice of a provider (cheap?). Now it seems PGI is stuck with a bad ISP, imagine how much calls and time it takes to make someone in SEA actually do some work on the server. Besides they may have underestimated the traffic demand and now have to make emergency upgrades, re-installs, re-checks... Don't hold your breath, this will take a while.

Got through a game and a half before a disconnect and couldn't return. I'm from the UK with Virgin Media and fibre optic.

I live in Melbourne. I have ping just as high on OC as I do on NA, 300 each.

Something... doesn't compute here. But yeah, I've been in two matches on OC, and my mech got eaten for one of them. On top of the rough night I've been having, it's salt in the wound. I don't blame you, I mostly blame my ISP for having poor routing. But at the same time, the crashes need to be dealt with.

I have had a significant number of crashes occur on the hour (at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, etc.) ... or, as they say, when Mickey's big hand is on the 12 ... I don't know if this is the same for everyone, but it seems to be the case for me.

more likely PGI didn't pay a high enough plan to cover the bandwidth... my guess...

Singapore is pretty efficient... you can get things done quickly here.

I lost track of how many matches I had that were total crashes. Had one that happened as soon as the match started. So many Cbills lost to this bad server roll out.

Back from weekend break. Loaded up and patched.

Played my first game on Oceanic servers yesterday with no problems. Ping 300+.

2nd game was going well and then I got the moonwalking mechs and failed to rejoin. I have only had that happen twice previously on NA servers in 5000+ matches.

It happened 2 times in 10 games now, and they happen in the middle of the game.

I think it is for verybodyg inside that game

I've been disconnected at least three times; usually not a problem but with the CHALLENGE going on it is very DISTRUBING! The ping is of course excessive, but it's the only portion of the challenge I've not completed; so playing it exclusively. Any disconnect disrupts completion of the challenge. Thanks.

Living in Perth, Aus, and getting a ping that varies between 60 and 400? i get a more steady ping playing on the US server.

It seems that for every map i finish on Oceanic, i get one DC myself. THis on top of having some awkward loading, where for the first 20 seconds of some Oceanic maps, i either spawn inside the map geometry, spawn OUTSIDE map geometry (out of bounds, without the message thankfully), or cannot see my teammates, before the server suddenly rights itself and everything is business as usual.

But worse is getting to 11-10 on a map, the map all but won as the remaining Mech and I chase down a DC'd Mech, Before disconnecting myself.

This is getting ridiculous...

I cant even connect. Getting "A Network Error Occurred." I wonder if they are going to extend the challenges and double XP because of all the technical issues....

Been disconnected twice today. Last time right as the game finished. Didn't see stats or anything. Don't even know if it registered. Takes too long to do challenge, very frustrating to say the least.

I'm to the point where it's why bother playing; takes too long to get on Oceanic server, play is interrupted with no RESULT, Mech is locked in to a server that won't let you reconnect. WHY BOTHER?
