opt-in, opt-out... doesn't really matter. If you like this game your going to still play if your the best or you suck. opt-in allows for the epeen measuring contest that some want/need for their elite units, while opt-out allows those who are the good, the bad, and/or the just don't care... to just play the game in peace...

Assuming the general percentages of the poll stays relatively the same over the next couple weeks, and PGI lets us opt-in to display our Tier, there's only one thing I'm looking forward to:

If you go full disclosure, players in the lower tiers might start new accounts over and over or actually stop playing. - ie. bad for the game,...

If you leave the choice of disclosure to the players, only the higher tiers will show as matter of e-peen contesting. - ie. useless

I think full disclosure would be like using XVM in World of Tanks, which I hate, so I vote for Opt-in.

What a load of RUBBISH. all this will make are epeen queen. like other other game. World of something has item lvl. and if your under a limit everyone insults you cos they think you a noob cos you have bad gear. In GTA5 you have char lvl, and people kick you if they think your too low even though you have a level 1000 alt and know the game.

Rankings has always been a bad idea, it just encouraged elitism when its not needed, Mechwarrior is meant to be about team work which never really happens. And the ranking system will just put more of a divide.

So, you're not really "hiding" your tier level anyway.

that or you are a new player who does not care or do not care about being middle class only because you do not abuse 50% quirks and such and also say that the 'player skill' does not determine skills such as scouting and such, where you can theoretically be the best player in game but be considered tier 4.

I would also love to see a vote option for Opt-Out: Default tiers are shown and you can opt out if you want.
With opt-in a lot of people will simply forget to turn it on.

I voted for Full disclosure. Games like LOL, HOTS and SC2 also show the League ("tier") people are in. I dont see a disadvantage when sharing that with all other players.
