'gg' after an obvious stomp has been a troll's move in online games forever and ever. Doing the equivalent on the courts I play on would have a decent chance of getting you punched.

If my team gets wrecked I would rather hear "ggclose" then "gg". Save the compliments for when they are deserved. Say "gg" after every match is like handing out medals to everyone just for showing up.

When I was growing up, playing a variety of outdoor sports, we were encouraged to be sportsmanlike, no matter how badly we won or lost. To all of these people, I say grow the **** up. I'm an average MWO player, and don't have a problem with that, however, in my day, I was a very. very, useful cricketer, and I'm still a player to be feared on an 8 ball table, when I win, I shake my opponents hand, and say well played, or bad luck, it's called being a sportsman.

So to all you mental midgets that do the whole ggclose thing, grow the hell up, and stop overcompensating for your small penises, noone really ****** cares...Oh,m and learning some manners would'nt be a bad start either.

I use "ggclose" if the score was indeed, close.. like 10:12, or 12:8

Using it after a stomp is disrespectfull, and I agree that it is done in poor taste, but still, no reason to get all bent out of shape.. its done by a-holes, and should be treated as such.

I usually shoot off a "gg" after any game I win, or any game I had fun playing.

The "close" add-on is used for games that deserve it, not stomps.

Trolls will be trolls I guess..

As someone that was a member when that happened. It wasn't ggclose that killed Lords. There were quite a few issues between parties that i'm not going to go into.

The mortal blow though was the EmP split, which had nothing to do with ggclosing people.

Lots of people are ********, that's life. Best solution to prevent such aggravation: turn off "All Chat" in the game settings and be done with it. I've had mine turned off for almost as long as the option was available.

Lords continued past the letter and were still playing comp and still ggclosing people. It was the EmP split that rekt the team, as our best players left.

They had reasons for doing so but it wasn't due to ggclosing people.

Unless you think you have more first hand experience in the matter than someone that was actually there?
