I use to disconnect ALL the time at the beginning of the match while loading. Was able to restart MWO and then reconnect in time to get started. This was back in june. Then I bought new parts for my machine to modernize it and that problem went away. My old machine was well above the minimum specs. But one has to wonder about the DC dequals.

The other problem is map selection. There are times when I won't see a map for days, then get it over and over. For someone that has a family, that can be a killer for these events. I am just going to play like I normally since I can't force certain parameters to even have a chance of getting something unlike past challenges. If I win something tier 1, cool. Tier 2, not really counting on it. The higher tournament brackets, forget it. True lottery for me and many others. This is something more competitive than fun.

And these events ruins the game as usuall. Playing with slow mechs, I've been in matches, on river city, where 5 mechs are lost before I get past our base. And the racing and nascaring to secure the kill is worse than ever, with slows becoming left behind and overrun by lights and meds. THis is not only a event issue, it happens all the time.

Assaults are not OP in most games. We need more power because we allways fights alone...

Now i have 3 disconnects counted while leaving games only after dying, which makes me disqualified from leaderbord placement. Thanks a lot...

Chapeau PGI! Rewarding egoistic idiots in CW, hiding the whole game with a lasersniper and letting their teams die, with huge matchscores, is really something you should do in the "hardcore Teamplay Mode".

I hope the current Matchscore system in CW is a bug and not intended...

Yeah I never DC'ed before death and I racked up 5 DCs so far according to the counter on the tourney page. If you're introducing such harsh penalties for DCs at least make sure the system is working properly PGI...

I'm not liking this tournament. Match score of 300 and 400 requires damage output mainly. I tried tagging and narcing in lights with a couple kills but didn't even get 200 score. And then lets say you get 300 score on all but one map - you have to play the random map lottery for it to come up again.

Me too! Just played about 4-5 Games yesterday late night. I don't remember when i had my last disco (around Beta 8v8 time) and only left the running Game when my Mech was destroyed.... But i have 1 on the counter now.

And another question! When do one get the prizes? I qualified for one but didn't get anything.

400 matchscore on ALL maps isnt that easy to get, 300 is allready hard. And yes, there is a mistake in the disconnetion count - you get a penalty for DCing after death - this should get fixed.

So I`m going to drop in a SRM or CSSRM mech for the rest of the event, because more damage - more points^^

yes, because he was hitting 10 mechs, which means in worst case this is 50 damage per mech, That is merely a bit more than an alpha at each mech he had contact. and when 3 of them just died by this, then well, yeah tahts how it goes. Thats not worth 400 score, what the OP is about. It was not useless what he did in the game, yet not amazing as well.

Both numbers are important, and none tells the full story. I can get lots of kills just by taking on thos my friends damages. But I can also get lots of kills with little damage being an active front line player taking down enemies fast.

yes we alreay gave PGI the feedbakc that this system si nto very good in terms of judging skill. I wonder if lrm builds o pointless ac stripping builds will eb used for this, people better undust their DRG 1N's and similar builds.

Well, frankly, that is the main goal of the event. They want to incentivize playing on and on even if you would have normally given up for the day, because you keep on hoping for the map(s) you still lack good scores in.

But the clear emphasis on damage in the match scores (and subsequently the challenge's scoring system) is what concerns me. Had a few decent games, including a 12-3 stomp where most of the players on our side did good and only a single one (!) managed to break the 300 score thanks to his 800+ damage...

I sure hope the overall damage does not have the same impact on our PSR, over support activities and actually killing/disabling the enemy.

I can report as well that leaving the match after your mech is destroyed will count as a disco even if you stay and watch for a while then leave game.
Fix this or remove it as a condition as it is its broken and not working as it should.

Not sure what you mean by qualified for one. If you mean you qualified for one map, then you are wrong, you need to do that for all the maps. If you meant that you qualified for one prize (got the requirement for all maps), then you'll get the prize after the event is concluded.

Those things read in the rules, I wish people would read them first before asking here.

Are the only maps that count the ones listed? I noticed not all maps are on the list, for example Alpine Valley isn't on there?
