The only reward should be the disco-ball.

(And before someone says "it's your fault you didn't do enough damage"... our Drop Commander put me on scouting duties for the first 20 minutes of the match, so I spent my time spotting and laser sniping in an ERL Raven and enabling the team to win. I was only able to get into a high DPS brawler for the last 10 minutes of the match. So much for 'role warfare'.)
But I suppose the above wont end up mattering because, despite playing 20 CW matches over the past three days, I only ever got ghost drops on Vitric ... so I haven't even had the chance to get a single 200 point qualifying match there.

Probability can do weird things in the short term. I have little reason to doubt the maps being equally weighted, but for any given player it is not going to be unlikely for them to see some maps 3x more often than others even over hundreds of games.
Example: Me.. I have seen Viridian bog, the only map I have needed since saturday twice in the last 41 freaking games.... what are the odds of this?
Well the odds of someone getting rooked like this are equal to the odds of getting it zero times, plus one times plus two times.
P(0)=(8/9)^41=0.799%
P(1)=(1/9)*(8/9)^40=0.0999%
or about 0.9% - hurray, my experiences put me in the 1%... not in a good way.

So, do something about it.
Report them.
Let PGI investigate and when they see repeated DCs, they will do what they have to.
Then we can have another list of banned and all rejoice again.

That said, the RNG element in map selection could be bad.
I was REALLY bored at work today, so I ran a little RNG simulation, to see exactly just how likely are you to be "missing" a map.
I randomly picked one integer out of 1-9 either 50 or 100 times, and repeated the whole thing 100,000 times. So 100,000 players play first 50, then 100 games, with the map picked randomly out of 9 for each game.
The results:
After 50 games,
...2.5 % did not get every map at least 1 time
...53.6 % did not get every map at least 3 times
After 100 games,
...0.007 % did not get every map at least 1 time
...0.6 % did not get every map at least 3 times
The take-home: after 50 games, your chances of having got 3 attempts at each map are about 50-50. One player in forty will be completely missing at least one map. After 100 games things start to even out: you're exceedingly likely to have got at least one attempt at every map, and very likely to have got 3 attempts.
So there is a bit of a grind, for sure, unless you get lucky. And depending of course on how many attempts you need at 300/400 match score.
All of the above assumes that PGI is not in fact Evil Incarnate and is rigging the RNG to deny you maps.

If PGI actually cared to stop this type of behavior they would have introduced in an end of match report option. As it stands their solution of emailing a screenshot to support just shows they would rather not touch moderation with a 10 foot pole.

So is dropping in Group.
Basically, if your in your Group doing the Tourney in pub drops or CW, it is much more enjoyable and like always, solo queue is the wretched underhive of LCD gaming.
Hmm, could that mean for a better gaming experience in a team and group focused game join a group or team?
Odd that.

Oh, so you read that are adding that then? Good. Now people will just have to USE IT and report. Will you?
Really, not touch moderation? You miss the recent post on exploiting in this tournament? Miss the post on how they are looking into abuse? Miss the 64 accounts banned last time?
If your looking to make assumptions while ignoring details and fact, your off to a great start.

Also question: Do you get more match points in CW for getting less of your mechs in your dropdeck destroyed? I saw someone who only had 600 damage with no kills and 13 assists, but didn't lose a single mech, and he got over 400 match points. Whereas I used all my mechs and had about 1900 damage with 7+ kills and 20+ assists and only got just over 300 match points.

And for what? Highlighting how broken the tournament system is?
Cheating? Hacking? Exploiting? Match-fixing?
What?
