Eg:
A: ****, our Warhawk booked.
B: Atlas here. I'll stand in reserve.
A: Thanks.
B: Damn, we just lost two, I'm rejoining.

This is the equivalent of a doctor "fixing" his patent with a broken leg by giving them morphine for the pain, but not setting the broken bone, and applying a cast. The match scores may have been painful, but having maps on an RNG was the real problem.
Ok, well then here is some feedback, and it's even going to be constructive feedback, and not the "U SUX PGI!!!1!!1!" kind.
If you want to hold an event like this in the future either give the players the ability to choose the maps they play,
OR
set up a flagging system on the maps so that once a map has been played it's pulled from that players random pool until the flag is cleared, which would happen once a predetermined amount of time had passed, or all maps had been flagged, in which case all flags would auto clear.
Both of these methods would curb the "I only had map X come up 3 times all weekend" issue, as you would be guaranteed to get every map once every 9 drops (or however many maps you have in the event rotation).
In fact you may want to use both methods; map selection (via vote) for CW, and flagged map rotation for public que.
I couldnt agree more.
I didn't get a drop in any of my two maps left yesterday. And i played for 5 hours... really pisses me off tbh.
And I've had 2 shots at them before yesterday (failed cos our team got *****). I've probably spent 15h in this event and only played Tourmaline and mining twice.

The PUGs in Canyon are either to good or to bad and my lack of JJs and very long range weapons makes me struggle to keep up when they are good and when they are bad...well...it does not help either...

That won't work because people DC when they already have that map in their list at the required score; adding an incentive to stay does nothing for them.
What would have helped, and is actually very simple, is to make the map rotation score for each player inversely proportional to the score on that map. Or, low score, better chance of getting that map.
The main gripe with this tournament is map selection. Getting the 400 points is a matter of time, provided you get the map. Fortunately, I did no CW and had no problems with the map selection whatsoever.

So its nice they lowered the bar for everyone but a little appreciation for those who reached the initial goal would be nice. Just 10 MC or 2-400 thousands credits would be enough.
And frankly don't just do a top 10 or 20 reward system leader board as only the die hard / "no life" players are going to be on there. Make it a top 100 (out of literally thousands of people playing) and have the last places be 5-10 MC
And I'm not saying this for myself as I only reached at best 147 place with 5047 points (the MAL-MX90 4 x UAC-5 is a beast)

It is ok if you must play considerably and have some skill and luck with teams and game in total to make those points, that's fine. But not when you even don't have a chance to do that, because you'll never going to get the map you need. So you're dropping Boreal and Hellebore again and again until you'll be sick of all this game. So in the total - after more then 3 days - nothing have changed. I needed those 2 maps only, I still need them, and i think i'm not going to get on them in time, so all the tier 2 efforts, and all the time spent on it - were in vain.

We will be removing the disconnect condition from the event.
Remember though even if you are qualified as Tier 2 for a Map you can always try and get a higher match score and climb the ranks of the leader board.
And that is a screen from the Caustic Valley update.
Im very dissappointed to read this. I thought it must be the case though when I am seeing 4 - 5 disco's in nearly every game now. Not a good move!!! So each game win is now determined by how many players bail on each team rather than the skill of the team...
