I have seen some Orions boating LPL. Not very fond of that, but some people drop alot of hardpoints

That's not for me. I don't like dropping lots of hardpoints.

You want a challenge? Play an Awesome. I play my 9M with the stock 3 ERPPC (and then personal choice of secondary weapons) for all of 400+ matches except 5 or so games.

Orions are amazing. They're like a much more agile Atlas. Similar hardpoints to the Atlas, lots of build variety, great brawlers, and they're tanky as hell too. They were my very first heavy mech to elite out and I still use them every so often.

Certainly!

They are great little mechs. Only a bit big for a heavy. But i love them so far!

As a dedicated Atlas pilot this is the MUST have sweet Heavy mech spot for me!

I am constant shuffling loadouts though. Sometimes when the SRMs hitreg is not with me i switch for example to SSRMs (yes they suck, but they got homing) and shoot it on lights and or cored mechs.

Found a new awesome build to try on the Orion today. Wonder how thats going to work out.

Orion = Heavy

Next: Hunchback?

Honestly, like me, you seem to get good performance out of the underdog chassis. I'm curious as to your opinion of the HBKs.

It was the first underdog! Couldn't speed like Jenner, missile like Catapult, or pound like Atlas.

Quirks have helped the chassis a lot, but none of them I would consider meta (the 4P and GI come close). Generally speaking, it doesn't have the tonnage or space to take full advantage of what it offers hardpoint wise. The HBK is my favorite chassis, I own and love them all, but mine is not a prevalent opinion.

Believe me i tried Hunchbacks before. I didnt liked them.

I think Blackjacks would fit me better personally.

The only thing i need is the champion and the Protector. (waiting for 50% off, i got some MC left just enough)

Is anyone interesting in a Orion guide just like the Atlas?

I know it's a bit too early to make a decent guide out of it. I haven't seen one yet. I am still building experiences with it and so far i am pulling it pretty well in this mech.

Amazing fun and so satifying when you hit the 600 barrier in a 75 ton mech.

I like building. I like shuffling with loadouts. I like being a generalist, but i like specialising as well. I dont build near quirks or 'meta'.

I have been looking at the Atlas lil brother the Orion. Any thoughts about that? Piloting this thing must be a real challenge i suppose. Or even harder! (I have experiences with other mechs on throwaway accounts).

I like filling as much hardpoints as possible. I do not like Clans. Tried them out plenty of times but they're not for me. So IS mechs only.

Suggestions? What would 'suit' me you think? Or would you wait for rebalance?

I already got one mainforce pack as a Assault and i think i will keep it this way. I just found the sweet heavy spot.

I am fairly happy with it!

dont be surprized, when you hit 750+ with protector, in 40-50% of matches.... (im doing that)

I find the VA the harest variant though. That one has practically all its firepower in both arms.

I am going to make a LRM boat of the Orion K. Got a build ready for that try out.

The most fun variant i have is the M.
