P.G.I should have left it in
sometimes the disco's are nearly as many as the people that stay
It's lame, screws up the matches for those that want to play and P.G.I won't be punishing them or they would have to ban about 15% of the community.
Get someone in with commonsense to create your events this one was created by someone who may well have a university degree, but still clearly needs help crossing the road

Well it wasn't working so it had to go.
PGI could learn from this even and not make next one random like this, so people wouldn't disco because the map they got is useless to them.

Well 9 maps you have a 1:81 chance of getting what you need.

As I said, so many of the community are doing it, if all culprits were banned, it would have serious effects on the longevity of this game, five people disco'd in my last match the match before it, the one before that three.
I agree the event is so badly made, it's laughable, and proof that even after three years P.G.I still fail at the highest level of bad, to get the basic's right.
It's also displaying how self centered the average gamer is, putting their individual needs before that of the community in what is supposed to be a team game, if they will do it for something so trivial as a damn computer game, what will they do when it really matters..
A sad bad weekend provided by P.G.I
I shall try forget yet another fail by the dev's and if we're honest a fairly large section of the community, to concentrate on the 24 hour mechathon run by RJbass, this weekend, a charity drive for soldiers wounded in the gulf conflict, proof that their are Gamers that will sacrifice time effort and money, for other peoples sakes.

Yeah no thanks, not worth 300/600MC
Objective based play, particuarly since they put SO many maps that the streakiness of the rotation makes it counter productive.
Oh and the CW scoring is so flawed it hurts.

Players - cool I can drop any map I dont need. YES! I dont have to waste hours playing the same maps over and over again.
PGI - We added a feature. If you DC to many times you get disqualified.
Players - Hey this DC thing is bugged. I was not even in a match and got a DC for quitting the search.
PGI - HUH, maybe if we had some sense we would of tested it more than NEVER. We will remove it.
Players - Hey I dont need this map I will disconnect.
Me to
Me to
Me to
PGI - duh uhhmm. We didnt see that coming at all.
Players - oh great now every match has 2 or more disconnects, I hope they are not on my team. oh crap roflstomped 11 vs 9 with a 9-0.

I think that's a good idea. Either a fixed time period, or the actual duration of the match you DC'd from. So you can't drop again until it's over, whether you play or not. Have it only during an event, as you say, and have an opt-out so as not to annoy those who don't care about the event (so they could drop and play as normal, but their results while opted out will not count towards event goals).
Probably a billion exploits I haven't thought of, but it seems like a decent idea at first glance

I don't really care if my team's down 2 or 3, personally. More damage for me.
