Hmm, Co-op, that sounds fun.

You have your friend suit up in a assault lance and you in a light lance.

Nothing can stop us now!!!

Or even just each of us in a mech. With one person doing the Campaign Contract stuff!

Co-op and base defense. The new X-COM missed the bus by not adding base defense like the original X-COM had. One of the things that made the original great and the new X-COM was cashing in on.... ironic.

Pretty sure they added base-defense in the Expansion pack "Enemy within"

Base Defense was added with Enemy Within. I'm also pretty sure it'll be there for XCom2 as well with how they are setting up the base now. Might even have more layers of defense for how the behavior works since you're effectively commanding a heli-carrier.

They actually addressed the cinematics thing in the Twith Broadcast. Apparently it's not really worth the effort, and their goal is to do the Open Ended thing 'right' enough that you couldn't possibly have the actors cover all the bases.

Arent those cinematics just cutscenes? I prefer have a good singleplayer and a good voice acting then PVP. I always prefered good PVE over PVP content. But thats just me.

But they have to please the PVP crowd though..

Cinematics! :D

Who wouldn't mind having an intro-and-end-campaign with live actors and CGI'ed mechs and everything-else-Btech?!

j/k, mostly

Sure! Maybe we can get the cast of Robot Jox for the cinematics. I bet they would work for cheap lol.

I kinda got upset how the ShadowCat in that video got obliterated by a LRM 40, and then somehow the Vulture Manages to take WAAYY more shots than it could in-game for that game. 8 PPCs, 8-9 Large Lasers, and then some.

...and BOOM! We make the 1.5 million mark. And more interesting, a black option for the jacket tier.

Sadly, no real new pledge tiers yet.

Well, at least the jacket and cap colors will match now. Kind of conflicted. On one hand, I now want all the banners and patches, on the other, I do not want this to be a logistical pain in the ass for HBS.

Yeah, I want all of the banners and patches, but don't want it to become a burden for them.

On a different note I want them to get at least to the 32 point mission reward so they add Fox's Teeth and Black Widows as possible opponents in skirmish.

Some thoughts:
  • I wonder which game will have decals on mechs first. Battletech or MWO?
  • The crowdfunding has slowed down significantly. I'm happy they exceeded their goal by over a million dollars, but I'm surprised that only 24,000 people have backed so far. I guess it says a lot about how many hardcore Battletech fans are out there. Not as many as you'd think.
  • I wonder if Battletech will just use all the animations from MWO. It seems likely that they will, but I was kind of hoping that I'd get to see mechs walking around in more dynamic, relaxed poses, instead of the MWO shooter pose with all arms locked 90 degrees at the elbow like an arthritic gunslinger.
