I don't use it outside of things like these backer missions either, so functionally, I barely know I have it!
Yeah well, the point is this: They are on other platforms too, like FB, where we could also post pics, but no, it's only Twitter.

That being said, the last 2-3 days of the kickstarter will almost certainly bring in 200-300k, potentially a bit more if we get close to a stretch goal or PVP. So I've still no worry about the Extended Campaign stuff - we'll be there within 10 days even at 20k a day, unless the last stretch goal for it is a super awesome one and closer to 2.5 million than 2.0 million.
I still stand firm by my optimistic upper limit being 2.8 million. Though that's definitely really optimistic, and if we go a full week like we have, or fall any lower than 20k daily slump averages, it will definitely fall.
My pragmatic and pessimistic estimate is about 2.3 million, which again, even at the 20k level will happen for sure with the final push.
That being said, any new tiers or add ons could add some boosts to things, it's just how it works. they're hitting the media pretty hard as well, and there's still a lot of time.
The thing I'm most sad about is we probably won't get the Novel based on current backer mission stuff. Or even the drunken twitch early enough to matter (Seriously, that will get some good press and people watching it that might not otherwise have backed the Kickstarter!)

Really like the idea that not everything can be a win and you have to retreat or can be faced with though decisions.

Idealy I hope the KS campaign will manage to gather about 2.4 million. Then all expanded Mercenary Campaign sub goals should be achieved as well.
The balancing of PVP too often has too much of an influx into single player content as well (balancing SP and MP are two different animals) and I'd rather have HBS purely concentrate on SP as I really would like to play a great SP Battletech game for a change.
Having PVP as a future expansion would be the preferred way for me.

We should expect a very similar funding levels for Battletech as these games are quite close when it comes to funding levels.
The most interesting bit I find is, that D:OS2 has more backers per day, but BT get's more money per day (usually).
Here the kicktraq for BT: https://www.kicktraq...ch/#chart-daily
EDIT:
What's hurting the KS for Battletech is probably the MWT fiasco and sadly partly MWO too. I had to explain a few Battletech fans (yet ex MWO players), that this isn't a PGI, but a HBS game (the sharing of the Mech designs confused some).
Others I know, just don't want to spend any money in this because they invested into MWT and simply don't trust the whole funding model.

Then tell 'em it isn't going to be a bloody free 2 play title.
It's going to be a premium title, you pay for it once, and you get it. That's it.

Tried that, no luck! Some of them even play and like the HBS Shadowrun games, but Iguess they got their fingers burned once and now they don't want to chance it again.

I disagree.
I want it more of a thinking mans shooter.
Not what we have now as MWO. Or some other classic games which you dont have to think but click and point instead.
But that you don't like it is more personal though. I am not very fond of X-COM. I find it too futurustic. But it's different.

I like the original X-Com way more than the new one - a better UI and some Bugfixing would have done wonders.
I am sure Battletech will reach the Mercenary Goal!
PS: And if they would make a Crescent Hawks Inception/Revenge mod/remake with that Battletech game i would totaly like that!

Have you tried Xenonauts? It's much closer to the original X-com, than the Firaxis' X-com.
It's set in the cold-war era and it's pretty darn cool (even if it looks a bit basic, aesthetic-wise)
