black night is alright it can be challenging in some places but its damage output is grate, but i can see a lot of people having problems with it. the mauler on the other hand is exceptional I average 3-5 kills a game, its cheesy as hell 2x ac 20 or quad ultra ac 5 quad ppc lrms, srms its hard to go wrong. and those shoulders are no trouble at all.

And as far as the Atlas "not being the king of the battlefield", last I checked it never really was. Sure, it packs some punch, but it's more armor than firepower. Even so, it is thirty tons heavier than the Warhammer, so even with its one less hardpoint it can still pack heavier weapons without as large a need for an XL engine.


Finally, your disdain for the Crab is noted. Now the world knows you do not like it, congratulations. ^_^
Now you can leave those of us that do like it to bask in its awkward glory. :D

Looking at the pics, VERY cool-looking mech, but it's going to have to be piloted like a Stalker: keep your nose pointed at the enemy or you're going to die fast.

Looking nice! In regards to its size, looks like the torso is actually shrunk from the images from the TT stuff. This is really looking sweet, can't wait to see the regular variants (with fancified paints), better side shot to see how far the back sticks out, cockpit view (hoping for plenty of nose in view, even more than dragon), and of course scale comparisons... looks like it migh be cicada/ shadowcat size in the images

I have high hopes for this bot. I'm pretty much done w pre-ordering anything (especially IS) these days, not worth the bonuses imo. That said I'm riding out my R2 purchase.

I like this mech, because it reminds me of my Bulldog. He's ugly. Ugly to the point that he's lovable.

Just praying it's not a DOA, dust collector.

I ran out of Toilet Paper at the worst time today. Had to walk in a way that gave me a visual of this mech. I started snapping my hands, like claws. I laughed.

My complaints on the design are that:
1. I think they could have made the cockpit slope a bit steeper to make the design look sleeker and really make it work because the torso kind of betrays the cool look of the legs. Right now it looks like a sort of...baby cyclops.
2. The nose looks a bit silly to me. I wish they would have capped it off a bit more and made something cooler out of the laser ports like integrating them into the nose...lasers on the nose look out of place, though the side torso PPCs on the Blood Pact one look nice.
3. I'm sad that they didn't do the upper thigh/knee addon plates be a grate like on the concept art, just a nondescript flat piece of metal. Otherwise the legs look great.

Overall, I think the forward-most and cockpit areas are what keep this design from being perfect in my eyes. Those legs just look too damn cool for a less-than-perfect torso.

Either way, I love the overall thing and look forward to trying the 350XL and jumpjet variants...hopefully there will be one geared towards large amount of MLas/MPLas. :)

I don't know, I kinda like it. reminds me of some old school fighter plane or Capitol mechs from Warzone.

I love the way it looks, it kinda reminds me of that robot from district 9 and those aliens from the oddworld games.
