In response to the absolutely obnoxious amount of Arctic Cheaters, Wolfhounds, and Crabs flooding matches recently, I decided to do everyone who isn't piloting them a favor and run nothing but streak boats today. I have been having an EPIC amount of fun, and have caused quite a few rage quits. I may not be the most effective player on the team at killing anything else, but keeping the pests off my teammates helps a lot and is appreciated. I have made the best of this annoying situation and turned it into a feast of carnage and merry trolling. I strongly encourage anyone who is sick of being harassed by these same annoying mechs for match after match to start dropping in a streak boat and taking advantage of this bounty before they nerf the Cheater.

Have fun!

I avoided grinding the Wolfhound due to the "doubling down" of the Light mech releases (Wolfhound and Arctic Cheetah).

It's not like the Wolfhound has the Magic Jesus Box option like the Cheetah has.

What's the point of the one SRM6 with no ammo when you only have ammo for the SSrm 6's

Whoops. Put the wrong missiles in there. I shall fix it.

Edit: There. Fixed.

Yeah, that's a problem. A streak-crow with TAG pretty much solves it though. I might set one of those up in a bit if multiple ECM gets to be a nuisance. It hasn't been so far.

This build looks promising:

Yeah crow's better for this. It's faster and has better hitboxes.

But no jump jets. That's where the Summoner shines. Plus it's a lot tougher. Also, lights are used to running from Crows. Sometimes they don't immediately recognize the Summoner as a threat...

Streakcrow or SSRM are only danger to the light pilots thinks they are in invincible mechs in their Firestarter/Cheetah/etc...

Those are assassins not the things that jump in front of 5 mechs in the beginning of the match, I start going after the mechs when they are damaged/open armored etc.

You go in with Firestarter/Cheetah after at least 5 mins into the match, alpha for 36 for 2 or 3 times to the open parts then dissappear.

You can wait for the 5-7 mins in your SSRM in the back line and be totally useless to your team or come to find me and you will die anyway. In the mean I can scout really good with my ECM be sure you are rained with LRMs.

Streak crows are a threat sure but as long as you remember to run past them instead of turning around you can limit them to one salvo before you get to cover.

Now if I'm definitely gonna die, I'm aiming for the face. I figure 25-50% chance of getting the kill if they're dumb and sit still to finish me off.

You didn't really make it clear, for the people who don't understand: With a teammate holding a lock OR a UAV, you can lock streaks on, then poptart and fire them during the half second you're out of cover. This lets you get damage in the earlier stages without getting killed.

Have fun!

With the amount of ACHs I see in the current matches, you might very well be the most valuable player.

Well done, been a while since I had gear in my SMN (I'm not a Clanner) but it may be time to load up. :D

I don't see where that Summoner is better in any way than this.
4 ERMLs with unlocked arms are at least as good against lights as one SSRM-6 and you still have 4x SSRM-6
(and JJs and more armor and better profile and more effective against non-lights)
