The great thing about ISRC is that Cashel is such a charismatic guy. Drops with him are like neutral watering holes, where alot of the most dangerous predators will join and put up with prey species (that's a metaphor for LRM users) without being snarky.

facts are information proven true and backed by evidence. Typing "FACTS" over and over again like a caffeine addled 14 yr old doesn't make it so, even in Donald Trumps or Micheal Moore's make believe worlds.

All things go into the kinda of experience you get out of MWO..much like other games. But keep acting like a tween....Really is making you look like a champion right now.

You are acting like a blind man being asked to describe an elephant.

You simply are incapable (at this point in time) to make the wide sweeping comments that you are saying...

E.g. if you aren't front loading your armor (i personally run 1 pt rear armor on most my builds) you are simply doing it wrong..

Pilots with good situational awareness will simply not get back stabbed... and you need your armor where you can control usage of it...

For the nth time... tier is just an xp bar... it really doesnt say anything about skill...

With how it is designed everybody will get to tier 1... paul already saidd a thousand drops from fresh account if you are a decent pilot...

I do 4 drops every other day... not 4 hours.. just 4 drops (thats as much i can take of this robit arena shooter) and i'm almost done with tier 3... that is how 'easy' it is to move up tiers...

If they counted everybody's drops since launch then easily every is at tier 1 (i have 6000 drops since launch, about 4000 in closed beta)...

Your complaints about comms is because you are mostly pugging it... i use comms and pug and since oceanic pugs recognize me they generally follow commands... but dont expect pugs just to start talking...

If you play with a team on ts3, you will see the good comms you are craving for... clear orders, target by designation, chassis, component location... separate instructions for each weight class... etc.

For me its been there done that... not enough in the game to hold my full attention not like in the early days where we were all hopeful...

The video maker is a bit arrogant, but he has a few decent points. I disagree with him about Units though. There are a lot of good Units that are very open to new players. My own Unit offers new pilot training and has some strict, "No drama rules." We're even preparing a "Welcome to MWO!" introductory training package for the Steam players that are coming. There's not really even a hierarchy and I'm pretty sure that we're not the only Unit like this.

Telling new pilots to avoid existing Units, where they would be able to gain the most knowledge and experience in the shortest amount of time, and then telling them to form their own Unit with a bunch of other inexperienced pilots, is pretty much the opposite of what he says early on when encourages new players to seek out veterans for advice. Simply put, find a good Unit that doesn't have any of the elitism nonsense in it and then enjoy yourself. Don't abuse yourself by forcing yourself to only play with other, equally inexperienced players, ignoring the readily available knowledge and team resources offered by established Units, simply because you heard some random, self-appointed expert proclaim that all Units were more arrogant, elite, and close-minded than he is.

So, all in all, the video's not bad but it's not particularly good either (why is it so tiny?). I recommend taking what the guy says with a grain of salt.

I enjoyed the video. I'm finding this thread to be saltier than most. As a multi year vet myself all I can say is I'm sorry so many of you are so set on not having fun.

He has the right of it for pugland. Teamwork is OP. That is true in every pultiplayer co-op competitive game. If the CSGO folks talk, listen and work as a group they will dominate.

As for T4 and T5 Game play think of it as a cbills farm for all the stuff that comes in so handy elsewhere.

I still can not believe how many of you got so salty over this.
