Face it, PGI. The Inner Sphere can never defend Tukayyid. Not until you unleash ComStar (and give the clanners Nova Cat and Diamond Shark <3).

Why? does the neurohelmet of those mechs come with an built in teamwork module?

Tsk Tsk Kursed. That's not very becoming of a NOBLE clan pilot now is it? Calling people like me (who want the game to thrive by making it fun and fair for BOTH sides) "newbie IS crybabies" is kind of harsh don't you think? As I recall over your extensive posts YOU TOO have complained about fairness and balance when it comes to your clan mechs (see here for example)

Calling people 'noobs' or 'crybabies' and the games they play 'crap' certainly doesn't elevate the discussion or give PGI a reason to listen. In fact, THAT is the kinds of polarizing behavior that is killing the game in my opinion. You're calling people 'noobs' who have been around playing mech style games just as long as you, and I would wager FAR longer. Case in point: did you ever play the ORIGINAL mechwarrior? How about Ultrabots? Both Earthsiege games by chance?

I do not want to see this game die because people lose their desire to play. Keep in mind that some of these vast unwashed pugs (or noobs) pay MONEY because they like the game. If they lose all the time, they may decide to quit....and spend no more money. No more money...... no more game. If the Devs shut off the servers, none of us have disks to load this game, so POOF no more mechwarrior and all this discussion is moot.

Think about that next time your clan mechs are nerfed a bit to keep the majority of the playerbase PLAYING.
I said newbies not noobs, to be fair i feel the word noob is a insult newbie is a green pilot who is new without the insult. and I'm sorry i'm no noble clan pilot that term can no longer reflect me. (you can at least give me credit for not swearing my head off) Also if I recall I did not call all IS newbies...

All Clan points are moot until they are formed into a STAR. Period.

Maps are a mess.

Clan mechs (Cheetah, still) are OP. Drop 3 Alphas into a Cheetah chest and it's still coming at you?? No twisting, no dynamic movement, they know they don't need to, just keep coming at you, walking in a straight line shooting their Alpha Small Pulse. Seriously.

Had the same experience with some Ravens, Spiders and Firestarters recently. Clanmechs are not OP, but lights are unkillable sometimes.

And THIS will kill the CW playerbase. Why play a *GAME* that you don't enjoy?

Soon the clans will control the map and wonder where all the opponents are because everyone plays PUGS only......... or not at all (sadly)

Talk to the guys in frr sons of Odin Theaus is a good person to talk to.

This though is a prime example why we need to place quality drop commanders into the pug queues. If we as units can help those fighting solo, then perhaps they will find the unit they are looking for. Clans aren't op, teamwork and organization is.

how i think the queue's in CW look like:
g= good team p = pugs(casual gamer)

Clans: ggg p gggggg p ggggg p ggggggg p
IS : g pp gg pppp g ppp g ppppp g pp g pp ggg pppp g ppp

even if IS has a lot of good teams, they can't play so often, because IS has more players and more PUGS.

Clans should not be nerfed if they win Tukayyid.

not when your hitting them. compared to a firestarter (SPL IS mech) they deal greater damage, at greater range, with better cooling efficiency while being significantly harder to kill due to differences in XL's.

The only balancing factor to them is it takes a decently skilled pilot to get those alphas in the right place, while still keeping situational awareness.

Did I mention they have ecm?

Then we need to adapt. Take those good teams and have them drop in a ten man instead of 12. Bring in 2 pugs and help them. Do not isolate them. We did a couple of frr drops like this this morning. Guess what we used in game voip and won.

As I have said before the way to help pugs and bolster our units, is to bring them in with constructive guidance and assistance. They will take notice.

I'm a casual T4 scrub trying to get some kind of score to take part in the tournament and get a paint color. I'm not a super hardcore player. I am 100% aware that I'm going to get stomped, and I'm fine with it. The only issue I've had is that the game still rewards farming rather than winning. If there's a stomp, they should get rewarded for simply ending it as fast as possible, not drawing it out for more rewards. It's a waste of 15+ minutes and extremely frustrating to get spawn camped when the opposing team could have won in under 10 minutes.

Random idea: The winning team gets a multiplier on their endgame rewards based on how fast the win. +10% Cbills/XP for every minute before 15min they win. Or 5%/30s. Whatever.

exacty the problem with this and the last tukiad is there are soo many IS players the good teams never drop. What does PGI expect? When the Veteran IS pilots who are good never get to drop you never face them and thus the clans win.

No.
You just need to make sure you use 4 Mechs that, combined, can get you to about 800 damage.
Had a game with 8 assists, 795 damage, 119 points. So somewhere around that makes the match qualify.
Doable even if you get stomped.

"During this battle, Inner Sphere Drop Deck tonnage limits are set at 240 tons to test the latest balance changes in Clan vs. IS engagements."

Don't know if that has been pointed out and don't want to search for it, but this is a lie. Max tonnage is still 250.

Also you ignored that Tukayyid has been deep in clan space for weeks now and gave ownership of it to IS. That means that on top of the enemy we have to fight turrets and gates as well. That may not sound like a big deal, but it actually does quite a bit. it consumes time, ammunition and also heat in certain situations. A setup like that is anything but fair, anything but balanced.

On top of that comes the ghost drops. You cannot conduct an event like this and then still have ghost drops. Not only is it unfair to those who wait in queue, because it doesn't give them an actual match and they have to go through the entire queue again. It is also unfair because it means that one victory of ours is worth as much as one loss and one nothing of theirs.

Try 3 alphas of ac 20 and 2x srm4s. I will always remember this. I alpha his *** and nail him at 100 meters. he shuts down from overheating and jumping. I alpha his *** again twice with the same load. He boots up, goes running and kills me...

cheetahs are OP and that's that.

Thank you PGI for the event and the free MCs. Will not ***** about that. The reason I might quit CW is internal politics amongst the FRR. Other than that managed quite a few fun drops, and a few lopsided losses .....

I'm also a casual player, but my friends and i in our mini merc company took on the challenge to save the Inner Sphere! Had a few great matches, dropped with some fantastic well coordinated IS teams... Managed to scrape through the 4000 points required to finish the event after 23 matches... not fantastic, do the math. Great event PGI, hope for better to come!
