Now that is a better view! Now looking at this again, here are my thoughts:
It's super high mounted energy hard points is probably the best I have ever seen in a sphere Mech. And since they are CT mounted, they should be super reliable. (I actually thought that the lasers would be mounted underneath the cockpit where the vents are)
It's arms have a nice looking shoulder plate and the coffin shaped lower legs and hoof shaped legs look a lot like the Thor and Loki. Better then the clown shoes that the Destroid Spartan and the TRO art has.

Honestly, an Heavy class LRM carrier that looks like it can take a punch looks more attractive the catapult.
This will be a purchase from me! Can't wait to see the Hero version.

On a side note, it seems we're getting one heavy mech of each tonnage.
60 ton Rifleman.
65 ton Warhammer.
70 ton Archer.
75 ton Marauder.

I'm probably still going to love using the Catapult more due to jumpjets and being one of my favorite mechs. However, I will probably want to pilot an Archer for those bizarre times where I don't really want to equip jumpjets for a heavy class missile platform.

Concept art looks nice. I look forward to seeing it in game.

Please Bring in the Archer, oh PLEASE!!! And if they do I will be so happy. I agree the Art keeps some of the Original Feel I like it alot. Happy PGI was able to get the Unseen that they have. Great work. Now I hope they can get the Crusader and the Wasp.

The Archer is finally here.

It's been a long road, getting from there to here. It been a long time, but out time is finally near. I can see our dreams come alive at last we (Archer pilots) can touch the sky. Now their not going to hold us back no mmor, no their not going to change our minds.

You know what, the Mech's name is the same as the Captain on Enterprise...so ummm...yeah, that was where I was going with that.

reason? low cockpit. if you wanna shoot things you need to see things as well. so hardpoints + cockpit have to be high to be a good choice. the geometry for the archer to hillpop is not bad at all yet not as good as you think it will.

you mean Fake Thomas Marik? Meh, he may pilot one, but he is not exactly "notable" for piloting one.
