Well, PGI has a track record for hiding away bad comments on these forums. The Steam forums allow players that have been censored a way to voice their concerns about a game that they once backed and believed in and have been slighted on.

Just stop lol

I'm a prime example of how they don't do that and was personally and deeply involved when we had actual things like that going on as opposed to the nonsensical rants that usually get sent to K town for cake rightfully so.

Oh, I agree, man. But, K-Town is what i was referring to. I'm not saying I agree with with anyone, just that I understand why they are pissed.

I can agree with that. It's very rare I see anyone "silenced"

I see duplicate threads, nonsensical rants, "this sucks" with no further context and feedback, hissy fits, troll threads, etc. jettisoned.

Nothing else. If you're in K-Town you earned it. :)

It's actually pretty funny to see just how butt hurt some people are.

My favorite one so far is the guy that claims to have played 6k+ matches and his only opinion is "It's bad".

6K matches? Suuuuuuuuuuure you don't like the game. What's really got your butt sore?

-- Also PGI hiding posts?
I've NEVER had a post get deleted or jettisoned and I'm generally one of the first dozen to specifically call out Paul or Russ directly when they do some bonehead stuff.

ONE - one single warning and that was during the Niko days.

My biggest problem with those on the PGI/MWO hate train, is that they aren't happy with just giving their opinion.
They seek to force their opinion on everyone else, bring about the demise of MWO, and take away my (and everyone elses) choice to play MWO if i chose to do so.
Its selfish and extremely childish.

Seriously, man. A [redacted]? Just give it up.

I'm anything but salty, to be honest. i just don't think you have more of a right to an opinion than anyone else. What may rub me the wrong way is this forum attacking anyone that doesn't blindly agree with their opinion. Like you, Almond.

If some people enjoy playing Mechwarrior, why are they intent on destroying the game. Backwards thinking if you ask me. "Hey I just got a new truck with everything I like installed in it. I think I'll go drive it into a tree.".

More like "How dare my ex found a new partner! I will do everything to make sure it end in ruins!"

You are so lost its hilarious...

There as been a group of Players that has tried to bury this game since day one. DO you honeslty think anyone who actually PLAYS and wants the game to flourish is out there giving it bad reviews?

Think about what you are writing dude...who would [redacted] where they eat like that?

If you had ANY idea of the history of this game you would understand that there is a sea of butt hurt BT fans that have dont everything in their power to bury this game since day one.

Its NOT most of the guys you see here, its ex player, people who got thir knickers all twisted when MWO when in a direction that wasn't there perfect little idea of a BT game. So now they troll and act like goons and try to ruin everything PGI does even its its good.

Again, Its funny you say its THE WHOLE COMMUNITY, its about 65 people, the same people I have seen over 2 years spiting venomous comments and saying MWO IS DOOMED tomorrow!

6000 matches at 15min each is 90,000 minutes, or 1500 hours, or 62 and a half days of straight gameplay.

Yea, "It's bad" is [garbage].

I never felt lied to even though I'm a Legendary Founder, cause some of us play MWO because of previous titles in the franchise. I was never into the lore and MWO was the next game in line with better graphics. I was just happy to continue playing Mechwarrior. For those of us that love MW (not Tabletop), imagine no Mechwarrior, and that's what we would have had if not for PGI and MWO.

If you still play the game then you are, at the very least, investing time in the game. So unless you are a masochist and only playing MWO for pain, then you should be doing everything in your power to encourage Steam players to try the game - for obvious reasons, development money to improve it.

I'm more or less in the same boat. I play Mechwarrior for Mechwarrior. I like the lore and the fluff and such, but I have TT BTech for that when I need to scratch that itch.

I still remember my time at the House Steiner TS where there were loads of people that had these grandiose delusions of a pipe dream during Closed Beta, I remember telling them it wasn't going to happen and that we're getting a Mechwarrior game and not a 1PV BattleTech game. I got laughed at, but once the game went Open Beta and reality started setting in these 40 year old men became total children. And this is coming from a guy that watches a cartoon about technicolor equines...

I don't know whether to point and laugh or to be sad for the human race.

I don't care much. Look at the situation with Fallout 4. It's a very good game with decent balance of the components, that is a great leap forward compared to previous renditions, that gives a great game-play experience. Yet, Steam community is filled with negative reviews from broken-minded people, most of which didn't even landed a step from the Vault, or whose argumentation is obviously ******** from beginning to the end.

Haters and trolls are everywhere. Those people instinctively crave for attention, and thus only present if there's something worth that attention. Reasonable players know that well enough, and reasonable players is what MWO needs the most. Conflicts between trolls and gamers do not affect the game's success nearly as much as you might think.

Fallout 4 is NOT a great leap forward...

They have been using the same engine for years and fans still eat it up.

Some are expecting an "island" and "transuniverse" type fallout.

Sorry, that's what happens when the community is truly up in arms about things. What we have now is "business as usual". The same salty dogs complaining about the same things and how they were "lied" to 3 years ago more often than not. It's a small vocal minority and it will be the same on steam forums.

That's why I posted my review of the game and left it at that. No need for me to have to argue with the same people about the same thing here, reddit, AND steam lol

My less FO fanboyish friends tell me it's pretty much just modded FO3 with updated graphics, less player choice, and voiced player player characters. They give it a 7 of 10 and told me to hold off on buying it til more mods are out and it's about $20.

I'll be reviewing the game honestly for what I see it clearly as while having tried to slog through it. The shallowest MW game in the franchise, while at the same time managing to dumb it down for 'mass' f2p consumption.

A monotonous, grindy game lacking in several areas: No Fun unique game modes rather than the death match arenas it contains (stock mode, convoy, king of the hill, terrain control, etc.), no ability to make custom matches for free, and core issues still present since the very beginning (average map design no where near as good as previous titles or a free mod, lackluster mechanics/balancing - no iterative redesign on holdover problems from past games in franchise, and dumbed down simulation aspects).
