Perhaps that's something PGI can keep in mind while doing Archer quirks. Make sure I have a good reason to want the ARC-2R(S) in addition to the ARC-T, lads.

But my new years resolution is not to buy another product until PGI presents a strategy to make CW viable. And 4 v 4 ain't it. Been hanging on hoping that the Phase 3 announcement contained more substance and less fluff. But there it was, new log on screens and other garbage.
Guess I will just have to deal with the 350 plus mechs in the stable and wait for the rest for c-bills. And if I stop using cash I might actually have something to spend my MC on.

great point... be curious to see, because even though i went full monty, didn't even think about that.
Still just wish the (S) would be a totally different variant, like on the Origins package.

Unless the cockpit has an unusually small hitbox, this thing is going to be the next big thing to farm headshot kills on since the Catapult.

yeah...not sure why they think people like polygon so much, I have it equipped on literally ZERO out of over 140 mechs.

No one likes it. That's why they give it to you so it looks like you're getting something but you'll still buy camos. Also a lot of folks don't like the idea of having an unlocked camo and then adding single shots to them so they'll splurge on the more expensive chassis unlock option.

head hitbox size has nothing to do with physical proportions of the head.

Since you also get LRM-20 Cooldown and Medium Laser Range Modules with the pack, it is guaranteed that PGI will have quirks on those weapons.

I suspect that has more to do with the sad state of LRMs than anything else.
While ECM is still too good for its cost* even when LRMs don't exist, the primary reason to take ECM has always been as a hard counter for LRMs. Which means that when LRMs are as sad as they are right now, people aren't as compelled to play their ECM-capable Mechs in response.
* if my Mech is ECM-capable, I take ECM. I don't care if the enemy brings LRMs or not, it's worth the weight just for the stealth of the magic jebus field.

Not Sure, perhaps you would care to explain it to us?
Is it because LRMs are the scourge of the underhive, or because they are all but extinct at top levels, which is the reason they are such a plague upon MWO?

PGI should keep in mind that most of the long-term BT players (and prospective MWO players) are fans as much for the BT storyline as for the combat.
Play up the lore, and you have an IP with a fanbase. Without that you pretty much have 'just another combat shooter'.

Indeed. And it gives credence to that against those who want to promote it as simply another plain jane vanilla shooter.

Polygon is nice, and it's really better when you use only 2 colour.
