Why? It's a bad Mech with too big an engine... It has less pod space than a Mech 15t lighter (Coyotl, 40T with 15T of pod space, vs the Black Lanner at 55T with 13T of pod space)

I wish people would stop voting for the Dire Turkey. Its at best going to be a Dire with slightly better torso twist range.

Some time ago the Black Lanner was put up as the ideal Clan medium because it has ECM & is 55t. This was back around the time clan wave II came out. Sadly it seems ppl haven't done their homework.

I want the Coyotl but it's not only a relatively obscure mech, it's been left off polls altogether along with the Woodsman.

And that's too bad, as the Coyotl is actually a really good Mech, I'd argue better than the Dragonfly (Viper) that replaced it.

Crossbow is bad, too. I like it anyhow, lol. Mostly cuz it looks cool... but at least I never have denied it's badness, lol.

Yeah, you would think people would have learned that just because something has ECM doesn't mean its going to be amazing, ala Mist Lynx and SCat. Hell, the SCat has more pod space than the Black Lanner, the problem is lack of hard points, where as the Black Lanner is the opposite. You know the saying, "Water, water every where but not a drop to drink." In the Black Lanners case, "Hard points, hard points everywhere but no weight for pod space."

I think that's one of the main problem with the Huntsman, Coyote, and Woodsman, they are obscure mechs even though they are flat out better than most things out there.

No problem with people liking things that are not uber as I am the same way, but the difference between us and others is that we can admit that the mechs are bad and would have no problem seeing them in game at least some time down the road, where as other defending a clearly horrible mech as something greater than what it really is and will throw a tantrum if they don't have it neow.

Not to mention I am looking at this from the view point that the Clan need better options instead of running the same old Cheata, Crow, and Timbers.

linebacker is a trash mech stop asking for it. Nova Cat or Night Gyr. Those are the heavies we want. The linebacker has as much podspace as an adder.

For those that don't know, the Huntsman is a 50t omni with 25t of pod space and that's including the locked jj and maxed armor.

I'd much rather have the Huntsman but if that wasn't an option and it came down to either the Coyote or the Black Lanner, I'd go Coyote every time.

I'd push for the Coyotl, mostly due to it being one of my favorites, but the other strong point for it, is the Clans have some decent 50t mechs in the Nova and the Hunchback IIC, but nothing in the 40t bracket, they need something in there that could be a strong option, and really the Coyotl has a lot going for it, lots of tonnage to work with, decent speed, and everything is in a high mount like the Ebon Jaguar, hell even the Alpha's CT MPL would be just below the cockpit...

that's already been addressed, and was asked first, actually. Non Omnis are probably going to be in stand alone packs like the Classic Unseen, and last checked, the Kodiak was the winner of the vote, by a lot.
