On Tina Benoit's devdrop live stream, Paul just addressed the Archer quirks, and as the title say, stated they were posted before being finalized, and are now going through revision and possible changes.

tightening the spread on the bigger ones, making them go faster, maybe doing something with the missile warning.... anything?

Please send Paul a big thank you, and tell him if they just copy some of the quirk packages from other IS mechs, I'll buy not only the archer when it's released, but I'll go ahead and preorder the Phoenix Hawk at the same time :P

Like what they did on the latest missile fixes for all launchers. Making the spread tighter and decreasing cooldown significantly on the big tubes.

Yeah, they better take care of that.

They forgot to add the negative quirks to missile cooldown, spread, and heat.

well, that would still be quirks. ATM nothing doing with actual weapon balance.

So. Maybe we can get a little bit more structure quirk and weapon quirks? Maybe Missile heat generation and cooldown? Nothing big, just 10-15%. I don't think this request is unreasonable. Do you all?

• IS LRM20 spread reduced to 6.2m (down from 7.0m). Cooldown of the weapon from 4.75s to 5.5s.
• IS LRM15 spread reduced to 5.2m (down from 5.7m). Cooldown of the weapon from 4.25s to 4.75s.
• IS LRM10 spread reduced to 4.2m (down from 4.3m). Cooldown of the weapon from 3.75s to 4.0s.
• Clan LRM20 spread reduced to 6.2m (down from 7.0m). Cooldown of the weapon from 5.0s to 6.5s.
• Clan LRM15 spread reduced to 5.2m (down from 5.7m). Cooldown of the weapon from 4.5s to 5.5s.

rather see less weapon quirks, more defensive. And if Offense gets addressed, prefer pattern tighened

I be happy with general missile quirks and if the side covers have armor I'm OK with the structure quirks. Anything extra would still be welcome as I don't think we have to worry about this turning into tier 1.

Decreasing cooldown=faster cooldown. That's how words work. You were wrong.

You either are a dead on arrival mech or you live long enough to see yourself be overquirked. (To be fair, I only want quirks comparable to other 70 tonners. It shouldn't be worse than say, a Warhammer or Catapult. And yes, I personally think that PGI should balance this game with minimal quirks. That hasn't happened yet though.)
